LARIYAH DANIELS:
MULTIFACETED METAL GODDESS
Most people know of Lariyah Daniels as a blonde bombshell and heavy metal songstress, but this woman has way more than one trick up her sleeve. Before entering the music scene, she had already established a very successful modeling career. She gained a lot of notoriety in the music world from her work with Chicago-based band Hessler, in which she was the original lead singer. After years of recording and touring with her band mates, the Poland native decided in early 2014 to part ways with Hessler and set her sights on something different. Though it's no secret that many Hessler fans will miss her ferocity and presence on stage, it's safe to say that they won't be seeing the last of Daniels any time soon.
In an interview from 2013 with The Metal Pit, Daniels gave some background as to how she got started in the entertainment business and how music really captured her spirit. Before joining Hessler in 2009, her modeling career was her primary source of income and she performed well in a number of areas including promotional modeling, bikini competitions, and commercial/print work. As things started to pick up speed for the success of Hessler, modeling became a part-time gig for Daniels, as she learned she preferred the vivacious realm of rock and roll. Currently, she is an established fitness model in Atlanta, and she competes regularly in bikini competitions (Lariyah Daniels Fitness). She also happens to be a certified personal trainer. It's obvious that Daniels is a woman of many talents, but fear not, metal fans - - there is still time in her busy schedule to dedicate to her rock and roll roots, and the anticipation of her future musical releases is ever-building.
KHAOTIKA
Departing from Hessler has given Daniels the opportunity to focus on a number of creative projects that her fans will enjoy without a doubt. Though she will no longer be recording new music with Hessler, she is sticking to her heavy metal roots with her new musical project, Khaotika. The band is scheduled to release new songs this year, and many fans of her previous work have already showed their support of her new venture. Khaotika is self-described as "chaos metal," so one can only imagine what Daniels will unleash vocally with her new band members.
BLOOD STAINED CANVAS
Lariyah Daniels is not just a pretty face with a nice voice, but a determined young businesswoman who puts her blood, sweat, and tears into her creative outlets - - literally. Blood Stained Canvas, Daniels' latest project aside from Khaotika, features a different artistic side that evokes the spirit of heavy metal with a hint of dark magic. Her shop features unique, one-of-a-kind pieces including canvas paintings, hand-painted leather apparel, and other custom orders, all signed with the artist's blood. Yes, you read that correctly. What better way for an artist to show the true connection with their work than to infuse their own blood into it? While it's an unconventional touch, the raw heavy metal vibe is definitely appreciated and the pieces Daniels creates are outstanding. She also offers to hand paint and customize guitars, drum skins, and hand bags. Daniels' passion and personality are apparent in her artwork.
