WHILE THE U.S. STRUGGLES TO CONNECT THEIR NATION'S CAPITAL TO THEIR NATION'S AIRPORT

By 2020, China will have metro systems in 40 of their cities. That is a dramatic increase considering that before 1990, just three of their cities had metro systems. (Curbed)

And according to a recent report, China currently has 60 metro lines in 25 cities.

Meanwhile, America has struggled to build a single line between their nation's capital, and their nation's airport, Dulles International.

Since the 1970s, U.S. lawmakers have discussed providing some kind of connection between the two.

The Silver Line that is intended to connect Washington to Dulles opened for public use in 2014, but will not be complete until 2020.

The Washington Reagan National Airport is a security risk, with planes flying directly overhead some of the most important buildings in America.

It is time that America takes its infrastructure seriously, before we are eclipsed as a world power.
