Totalitarianism emerged when the established Democratic leaders of the time failed to deal with key issues. People were demanding a powerful leader who could solve these problems.
Hitler emerged as a political mastermind who created a charismatic cult of authority. He knew how to motivate a rally much like a musician at a modern day rock concert.
In order to understand the nature of totalitarianism, we must understand the spectacle behind it.
