S.94 - A bill to impose sanctions in response to cyber intrusions by the Government of the Russian Federation and other aggressive activities of the Russian Federation, and for other purposes (Congress | Full Bill Text)

This bill was introduced on January 11th, 2017.

It is a bill sponsored by Senator Cardin (D-MD) and cosponsored by Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), along with seven other senators.

The purpose of the bill is to impose sanctions upon Russia in retaliation for "hacking the U.S. election." Even though the proof of this alleged hack is still not concrete.

We will point out that sanctions are an act of war.
