All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

NATURE: AN ETERNAL SYSTEM OF LIFE AND TRUTH

Our solar system is but a speck of dust at the edges of the Milky Way Galaxy, and there are millions and millions of galaxies in the universe. So we must put our current society and ideas into perspective.

Time remains the same.  Nature's laws remain the same.

With any search for the truth, one must begin with nature as the starting point.

Human political ideas will come and go... but those that are not connected to nature will never last.

Nature is truth. It is billions of years old and has stood the test of time. It is an eternal system of power that presides over the laws of life and death.

The written history of human civilization only began 5,000 years ago. Our industrial world order is only 200 years old, and on a global scale it's only 50.

If the Earth formed at midnight and the present moment is the next midnight, 24 hours later, modern humans have only been around for 1 second; and if human history spanned 24 hours, the Industrial era would be the last minute.

In other words, all of human history is just a drop of water in the vast ocean of time, and today's world order is just a tiny fraction of that drop.

The dinosaurs were around for 65 million years.   Unfortunately, human beings are on the verge of committing suicide after a mere 50,000 years.

This situation is not an innocent mistake.   It is the result of an internal moral sickness.   Today's world leaders are presiding over an era of mass murder. We are witnessing the greatest extermination of life since the Permian extinction, which happened 250 million years ago. In 40 short years, half of the wildlife on the planet has been killed. What we are witnessing today is nothing short of the greatest mass murder in history.

This criminal destruction of our planet is the result of sick and evil political and religious ideologies.   A particularly serious problem is the matter of American imperialism.   Here is an ideology based on the destruction of nature.  It is combined with enormous political and religious delusions of grandeur.

Fortunately, there is no need to worry about nature.  Human beings need nature, but nature does not need us.  Nature will get things back on track one way or another - with or without us.

The politicians may have the clocks, but nature controls the time, and all the money in the world won't add another minute to the day.

It is time to start thinking about a long term future, and political ideologies connected to the future. It is time to get back to the truths found in nature.

Just as the spring follows the cold of the winter so our world will be reborn.   A political and spiritual revolution will be needed to sweep away the evils that have created the current situation.  We would hope this would be a peaceful process but this is very unlikely.

What follows is a vision of what is to come.   People can get back in step with nature or be crushed.   This is the real future.

REAL NATURE VS FAKE NATURE

angel falls

When we say that it's time to align ourselves with the truths found in nature, there needs to first be a fundamental discussion of what nature is and what nature is not.

Nature is a ferocious system. Nature is a wolf running through the forest and ripping open the throat of its prey.

It's important to distinguish real nature from middle class environmentalism in the West. These are not the same thing. Their view of nature is what they see through an air-conditioned SUV window. A picture on a cookie box. A video on HDTV. It's important not to get real nature confused with a virtual picture of nature. If the average Western environmentalist was put back in the natural world, they'd be begging to get back into the modern world as fast as possible. How many people would like to wake up in the morning and have to cook breakfast over a fire and then go out and hunt all day and maybe face starvation in the cold? Delusions about pacifism and human "rights" have no place here.

Nature is a grim system, but it is a self-sustaining system that offers a long-term future. In so far as the modern world can be reformed, it must get back to principles of nature if it wants to survive. However, this will be very controversial.

For example, nature is a system for cleansing the diseased, the weak and the unhealthy. These forms of life are killed off in nature. Some political structures, particularly in the ancient world, had a system to emulate this. Most notable is Sparta with the exposure of children to nature, where the sickly and the unfit died and only the fit survived.

In a modern society there is a total contradiction of this.

THE CRIMINAL DESTRUCTION OF THE PLANET

Today we are living in the middle of the greatest mass murder in history. Humans have created the sixth major mass extinction of life on this planet. Half of the world's wildlife has gone extinct since the end of World War II and the situation is only getting worse.

These are criminal acts, not accidents. They are the result of a profoundly sick society. A society that is just as polluted at a spiritual level, as it is at an environmental one.

There are few things stupider than to look at today's predominant political and economic systems, today's 'American dream', and to think that these are good systems that have somehow gotten 'confused.'

No. This is a malevolent system. It's an insane system. Presided over by people who are deeply sick.

In looking at a theme that can define today's not so orderly world order, again and again we come down to "the criminal destruction of the planet". This is a criminal system engaged in criminal acts. What are the chances that the system will reform itself voluntarily? Right now? Not very good.

As we poison more and more of the water, air and soil we need to survive, will there really be enough for all? Scientists are almost unanimous in agreement that drastic climate change on this planet has been accelerated by human actions. As the world becomes a place that is less and less hospitable for human life, will human rights, and the American dream really be available for all?

No.

These are lies.

HUMAN RIGHTS VS. RESPONSIBILITIES

Today we live in a world order that governs through deceit. There is all this talk about 'human rights,' about building a world where there will be freedom and happiness for all.

Yet the reality is far cry from the rhetoric. Income inequality is at an all time high.

While there is all this talk about human rights and human compassion, there's an unprecedented wave of cruelty and mass murder towards other forms of life. Is the "sanctity of life" only keeping humans alive, or only keeping wealthy, well connected humans alive in first world countries while otherwise healthy children are left to die?

As the whole house of cards collapses, there is going to be a grim process of sorting out the survivors.    The result could very likely be a death toll in the billions.  Such a huge death toll sounds fantastic but is not at all out of the world historical experience.  In the Black Death, it is estimated that 35% of the population of Europe died.  During the Thirty Years War in Germany and the Mongol invasion of China similar death tolls also took place.  This would mean a death toll of at least two billion in today's world.

Are billions of people around the world going to willingly depart without a fight and die quietly of hunger, chemical poisoning and disease in their sleep? No. There will be mass chaos and political upheaval.

If the current western countries that lead the world today cannot provide a realistic solution to the environmental and economic problems faced by the rest of the world, we must consider the possibility of radical, political alternatives. The chances of some kind of revolution from below, an authoritarian revolution from above, or a combination of the two are very likely.

The environmental crisis is one of the most critical issues of our time. We hope for a peaceful and democratic solution to this problem. But if this cannot be addressed in a peaceful and democratic manner, it is likely that there is going to be a very violent future to come. That is why it is important to think of the back up plan for what happens when today's system fails, and what will take its place.

This text is going to deal with some basic realities. It is going to talk about the fundamentals of political theory, going back to the beginning of time. The fundamental basis of political theory is to protect the biological foundations of life. That is, the fundamental principle of political theory. We need to stop and think. There are no rights without responsibilities.

As today's political and environmental situation deteriorates, there will be a desperate struggle for survival. Concepts such as "human rights" will be tossed out the window and people will demand a powerful leader who can enforce order out of chaos.

In order to understand the raw political biology of the world to come, we must examine the tale of mankind's history, a story that was violent struggle for survival.

This is why we have elaborated on long term, global and political trends below. It is time to get back to long term thinking, not only about the past, but also about the future.

A FALSE PROMISE OF SAFETY

FROM A RULING CLASS IN ITS DEATH THROES

THE CRUMBLING WORLD OF THE PLUTOCRATS

AND THE AMERICAN LIBERAL ESTABLISHMENT

skulls

The plutocrats tell us that today's world order is the best that ever existed, and that if we go along with their plan, that we'll have this nice little life where we can all be safe.

The plutocrats are backed up by the wealthy liberal establishment who create a facade of compassion to hide the criminal realities of what is happening.   However, their grip on power is slipping.   Going along with their plan is not safe, it is suicidal madness.

They tell us that the destruction of nature is necessary in the creation of "progress." But the question we ask is "progress for who?" Today we are seeing income inequality unseen in the scope of history. 1% of people in the planet now own around 50% of the global wealth. Even past emperors and pharaohs did not command such a percentage of wealth in their own civilizations.

Yet this is a temporary trend. It is not based on any sustainable systems of values. Consumption cannot keep going for ever. The reality is that today's Plutocrats are on the losing side of history. Those who align themselves with nature will be on the winning side, they will be one with the invincible forces of fate. Those who align themselves with temporary trends will be on the losing side.

So the question is, is it safe to go along with the current system? Do those in charge have your best interests at heart? The answer to both of these questions is a resounding no.

It is time to get back on track with real traditional values, with real historical trends. It is time to develop systems aligned with the eternal values. It is time to get back to nature and in order to do so, we must understand long term trends in our own history. The next section of this text will go into more detail about the real past, in order that we have an understanding of the real future.

THE CENTRAL FIGURE OF REFORM IN THE WORLD AHEAD

THE EMPEROR

emperor

Our role is to be the shamans of today. Our role is to be the visionaries of what's to come. Our role is to paint the picture of the coming real world order. This real New World order is going to sweep away the ruins of the current world order of plutocracy and Western establishment liberalism. We've discussed at length on our website and in previous lectures the death toll that's coming and the political implications of that death toll, which will bring down the political world order and unleash a tidal wave of violence.

THE CENTRAL FIGURE OF THE REAL NEW WORLD ORDER - THE EMPEROR

In the real world order to come, the central figure is a person that we will call 'The Emperor.' Yesterday, today and tomorrow, time remains the same. Authoritarian rule has been the norm for a majority of written history. As reform in today's world looks less and less likely, history will return to long term trends. Trends we will discuss more in this text below.

Whether there will be more than one Emperor on this planet is an interesting concept and we're not going to get into that in this lecture. We are going to talk about the nature of the Emperor.

THE EMPEROR - THE CENTRAL FIGURE OF REFORM

Our goal is to reach this coming emperor. This person is alive today.  The material on our website is to help direct this emperor who'll come to power. That is the central point of what we do. Obviously we want to reach significant numbers of other people in power today, or not in power today, but the likelihood that the current political power structure is going to reform itself is pretty close to nil.

The Emperor is going to a very busy person.  He will not only have to deal with huge problems but will also be involved in a ferocious struggle for power to crush competing political leaders who might also want to be Emperor as well as defenders of the rotting world order that got us into the current mess.

This coming emperor will be a highly charismatic person, and they will use the technology and media of their time to galvanize the masses with a powerful message.

This person will be like a God King as in the days of old. Except they will probably have even more power and influence than any previous leader, due to the ability of technology to mass produce a message and spread that message to millions.

We will talk more about the deep historical roots of this figure. The problems today. And how this person will emerge to sweep away today's synthetic world order, and brutally impose one that returns humanity to an eternal time scale. To the eternal laws of nature.

THE BRUTAL PRIMEVAL PAST

skulls

Nature is a violent and ferocious system   Ancient history was also a violent and ferocious system.

In the discussion about mankind's history, we must go all the way to the beginning of mankind's origins.

First of all, we must say that no one can be completely sure about what life was like in pre-written history.

However, archaeology does provide a useful too in determining aspects of what did and did not happen in the ancient world.

The Western Myth that the ancient world was once this peaceful place where everyone had flower power is a bunch of rubbish. This is rubbish. It's a world that never existed. As the vision of the past is illuminated by archaeology, what we see is a ferocious world, a world of violence, a world of human sacrifice. This is the real world of the past and it has relevance, because as the whole plutocratic world order collapses under its current environmental and economic mistakes, this kind of violence and terror will be unleashed on a global basis.

A WORLD OF PERPETUAL WAR:

A good source on the ancient world is Lawrence H. Keeley's book "War Before Civilization." Keeley is an archeology professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. According to Keeley, modern civilization is less violent (in terms of human violence) than the prehistoric past. Keeley states that peaceful societies were an exception to the rule in the primitive past, and that up to 90-95% of known prehistoric societies engaged in war. Tribal warfare in a warrior society could produce casualty rates up to 60% of the population. This is compared to the 1% death toll of combatants in modern wars. There was also a very high participation rate in this violence. According to Keeley, up to 40% of the male population in a tribe was mobilized for warfare. This is a much larger percent than what Germany or America recruited for World War II.

Keeley also cites several archaeological examples to support his narrative of perpetual violence: Almost half of the people buried in a Nubian cemetery 12,000 years ago died from violence; The yellow knives tribe in Canada were obliterated by massacres committed by the Dongrib Indians and similar massacres occurred among the Eskimos, the Crow Indians and countless others. At Crow Creek in South Dakota, archaeologists found a mass grave containing the skeletal remains of more than 500 men, women and children who had been slaughtered, scalped and mutilated during a village raid that took place over a century and a half before the arrival of Columbus.

HUMAN SACRIFICE:

One of the most controversial historical topics is that of human sacrifice.

While some historians have conventionally argued that human sacrifice was a rare and isolated event, archaeology is revealing that this grim practice may have been more widespread than traditionally thought. The most obvious example is The Aztecs. For the reconsecration of the Great Pyramid of Tenochtitlan in 1487, it is reported that the Aztecs sacrificed 80,400 prisoners over the course of four days. Historians argue about whether or not this is an exaggeration, but it is definitely true that human sacrifice was a key part of Aztec religious rituals. According to Mathew White, in his book "The 100 Deadliest Episodes in Human History," the death toll of humans sacrificed in Aztec rituals was 1.2 million (source).

There is also evidence that human sacrifice may have occurred in Europe. In places such as Denmark, Germany and Holland many bodies have been found, completely preserved in peat bogs. Some were hanged or strangled. The noose is still on the necks of a few of these victims. Others were bludgeoned in the head or had their throats slit. These bodies were found in a special place where offerings are believed to have been made to the after world. Those who have studied the remains believe that these were not murders, but sacrifices made with care and deliberation. However, there is the question of whether these were sacrifices made for religious purpose, were an execution of criminals or a mix of both. The Roman historian Tacitus wrote that the Germanic people executed their social outcasts in bogs.

When looking at other writings from the Romans, Diodorus wrote that the Gauls tended to kill a man with a knife stab in the back and then divined the future from his convulsions and the outpouring of his blood. However, we must be careful when examining the writings of the Romans, as they provided a biased account of those they were trying to conquer.

Another written account of human sacrifice in Europe come from an Arabic chronicler named Ibn Fadlan. In the 10th century A.D. Ibn Fadlan wrote an account of what life was like among a people he called the Rus, who were a people of Swedish origin (some call this the earliest written account of life among the vikings). In one of his accounts, he talks about a human sacrifice that occurred where a slave girl volunteered to join her master in the afterlife.

§ 90: Then six men went into the pavillion and each had intercourse with the girl. Then they laid her at the side of her master; two held her feet and two her hands; the old woman known as the Angel of Death re-entered and looped a cord around her neck and gave the crossed ends to the two men for them to pull. Then she approached her with a broad-bladed dagger, which she plunged between her ribs repeatedly, and the men strangled her with the cord until she was dead.

There is much debate about this topic of human sacrifice, since the definition varies from situation to situation. To read more about human sacrifice around the world check out the following link: Human Sacrifice Around the World.

Yet while the ancient world was a violent place, that is not any indication that today's world is less violent. Instead, much of the violence that humans used to perpetuate against one another has now shifted into a massacre of the biological foundations of life on the planet.

It is also important to study life in the ancient world because our ancestors did manage to survive the brutal trials of nature so that we may exist today. Can today's modern society survive nature's wrath as climate change accelerates out of control?

RISE OF THE GOD KINGS

Over time the tribes of the primeval world were shaped into thriving civilizations and empires. But this didn't just happen by mistake or accident. This happened because there were ruthlessly ambitious individuals who were willing to do whatever it would take in order to bring people under their control. These people were the brutal leaders of empire. They killed their enemies en masse, spied on their people, crushed dissent with an iron fist, and often reigned over their subjects as Gods.

As mentioned above, Democracy was a blip on the radar in the scheme of history. Almost every long term empire has existed under the authoritarian rule of a supreme leader, and this leader either ruled as a God himself/herself, or was given the right to rule by a God: Mandate of heaven, Divine Right, etc.

hammurabi code

(King Hammurabi receiving the laws of the people from a God)

Let's take the oldest written law text in history, The Code of Hammurabi. The authority of God was so important, that at the very top of the carving with Hammurabi's Laws, is the image of Hammurabi himself receiving the laws from the God Shamesh (or possibly Marduk). And the preface of the whole code goes on at length about how Hammurabi was chosen by the Gods themselves to bring law and order to the people.

"When Anu the Sublime, King of the Anunaki, and Bel, the lord of Heaven and earth, who decreed the fate of the land, assigned to Marduk, the over-ruling son of Ea, God of righteousness, dominion over earthly man, and made him great among the Igigi, they called Babylon by his illustrious name, made it great on earth, and founded an everlasting kingdom in it, whose foundations are laid so solidly as those of heaven and earth; then Anu and Bel called by name me, Hammurabi, the exalted prince, who feared God, to bring about the rule of righteousness in the land, to destroy the wicked and the evil-doers; so that the strong should not harm the weak; so that I should rule over the black-headed people like Shamash, and enlighten the land, to further the well-being of mankind (read entire law code here)."

So an empire wasn't just a legal and financial transaction between citizens and an authority figure. It was a sacrosanct bond between the Gods and their people, and the emperor was the chief mediator of that bond.

HOW DID EMPERORS CONTROL THEIR EMPIRES?

The idea that an authoritarian ruler could do whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted without regard for the needs of the people is simply not true. The emperor was under extraordinary pressure to keep the people under control at all times, lest they kick off a rebellion.

So a ruler of an empire had many proverbial tricks up his sleeve in order to keep the population under control. Propoganda and diversion were two key components of the state.

Panem et circenses, or "bread and circuses" is the common phrase which refers to an emperor's actions in keeping the people under control. Overworked and underfed people had riots, so food and diversion played an important role in keeping a populous content. During the reign of emperor Claudius for example, there were 159 days in the year designated as public holidays, and 93 of these days had shows offered at public expense.

Information control was also an important factor in keeping people under control.

The control of information was a crucial part of an emperor's authority. Kautilya, the author of the Arthashastra (one of the first major texts on statecraft in history) suggested that an emperor maintain a vast network of spies and trust no one — not even his own family and friends.  So many emperors had an extensive network of spies both in the palace and throughout the kingdom in order to establish an environment of total information control and fear. Of course, this was back in the days when most people couldn't read. Imagine how much easier such a feat could be today, with the existence of the internet and phone tapping (which is a point we'll get to later).

So as you read about the various empires below, keep in mind that the authoritarian leader existed as a manifestation and personification of the state. The emperor was a person who kept his empire under tight control via the machinery of diversion, propoganda and information control.

THE RISE OF EMPIRES

egyptian pyramids

In 323 BC the most powerful man in the world lay dying in ancient Babylon. On his death bed, Alexander the Great was asked, "who will you leave your Empire to?" and his answer was, "to the strongest." There's a lesson here, world history is a ruthless struggle for power. No it's not a struggle for freedom; no it's not the struggle for what Americans like to call "democracy," which frequently is nothing to do world history. World history is a struggle for power.

Democracy has had very shallow roots in the scheme of ancient history. A vast majority of civilizations - Asyria, Persia, Babylon, China, Egypt, The Mauryan Empire, and so on - almost all of history's civilizations existed under some form of authoritarian rule.

It's important to understand that today's Western view of world history is a total illusion. It's a view of world history from a Western point of view. If you filter out the Western point of view, you see that Western concepts, interpretations of what they think is democracy, and what they think is freedom are completely out of step with the main course of world history, and that the model states that modern Western so-called "democracies" are based on: the states of Greece and Rome in the ancient world are both states in which democracy committed suicide. It failed.

PERSIA: THE WORLD'S FIRST GLOBAL EMPIRE

persepolis

Persian empire

(The Scope of Persia's Empire)

Now in the sixth and fifth centuries BC, you had the emergence of a world state, specifically Persia. The Persian Empire was in geopolitical revolution of the first order, because for the first time, you connected India and the Mediterranean. In most Western schoolbooks, there's a fairy tale view of the relationship between Persia and Greece. It's portrayed as a kind of Cold War. Nothing could be further from the truth. Greece was a fragmented collection of different states, and their relationship with Persia was a combination of different alliances at different times, but there was a huge amount of interaction. And for example, Herodotus, a Greek citizen, was able to travel throughout Persia. So this is highly relevant, and Indian troops participated in the invasion of Greece. But the main empire was Persia, it was not Greece. Now, so-called democracy in Athens really wasn't a modern democracy, because only a minority of the citizens were able to vote, and Athens was heavily dependent on a system of slavery. So, the romanticization of Athens is a product of the modern world, not of the ancient world.

THE FAILURE OF DEMOCRACY IN ATHENS

In Western classrooms today, children are taught that Democratic Athens was some great bastion of civilization, and that they were the be all and end all in the ancient world. But this is nonsense. This is a lie. Persia was the major world super power at the time. While Athens was just one of many Greek city states, many of which fought with one another just as often as they fought Persia.

Now under Pericles, and the so-called Golden age of Greece, Athens embarked on a megalomaniac Imperial plan - sound familiar, like George Bush and so on? These ambitious plans were to make Athens and all of Greece so-called "safe" for democracy. In other words, Athens started a war with its main competitor, Sparta, to destroy Sparta, and impose their version of democracy, which coincided with business interests in Athens (sound familiar) taking over all of Greece. This war was an absolute, total disaster, and it ended up in the defeat of Athens by Sparta, and the wholesale destruction of Athens as a major power. So Athens was defeated, and the whole concept of democracy was totally discredited throughout Greece. Aristophanes wrote plays ridiculing Pericles; Socrates referred to Pericles as a pastry chef; the entire intellectual structure of Greece repudiated democracy after the demise of Pericles - and you have the rise of philosophers like Plato, who openly endorsed the concept of authoritarian rule and totalitarianism.

It was not Athenian Democracy that brought Greek culture to the rest of the world, it was a Macedonian king named 'Alexander The Great.'

ALEXANDER THE GREAT BRIDGES THE GAP BETWEEN EAST AND WEST

CREATES HELLENISTIC WORLD

Alexander at the tomb of cyrus the great

Hellenistic world

Alexander the Great bought Greece into being a world civilization. It was Alexander the Great who made the transition from the narrow-minded polis of democracy which had been discredited, to the cosmo-polis, the world state, where he incorporated the aspects of Persia into his Empire. His empire was built on top of the administrative structure of Persia.

So, supposedly when he died, they asked who is he leaving his empire to, and his answer was, "to the strongest." Well, that led to a quarrel where two major states and one small state emerged. The Seleucid empire stretched from the Mediterranean all the way to the Indus River in India; the Ptolemaic Empire took over ancient Egypt, and then there was a smaller state in Greece. But it was this Hellenistic world of empires that brought Greek culture to the world. It is believed that the evolution of Buddhist statuary to show statues of Buddha was influenced by the arrival of Greek culture into India. And it was Bactrian Greek empire which broke off from the Seleucid empire that conquered a good part of India. So there's an enormous connection between Eastern culture and Western culture here. This is extremely important to understand.

TOTALITARIAN POLITICAL REVOLUTION FORMS FIRST INDIAN EMPIRE

INTERCONNECTION BETWEEN EAST AND WEST

Upon the death of Alexander The Great, the Indian emperor Chandragupta, founder of the Mauryan dynasty, had re-conquered northwestern India around 322 BC. However, contacts were made with his Greek neighbors in the Seleucid Empire, and a dynastic relationship with the Greeks was established. Several Greeks, such as the historian Megasthenes even resided at the Mauryan court. In fact, each Mauryan Emperor subsequently had a Greek ambassador at their courts.

So you see, there were a lot of connections between the ancient eastern and western world. Much more than modern people think. The way that ancient history is taught in schools today makes it seem as if all these civilizations existed in isolation from one another. This is rubbish. Total rubbish. All these empires were influencing one another. Cleopatra even wore Chinese silks.

Much of the totalitarian activity that would sweep the Indian subcontinent during the era of the Mauryan empire was a reaction to relations with the Greeks. In fact, when emperor Ashoka converted to Buddhism, he had Buddhist missionaries sent as far west as the Mediterranean and had some of his edicts written in Greek.

MAURYAN POLITICAL REVOLUTION

The Arthashastra is an ancient Indian treatise on political rule and statecraft. The author is identified by the names "Kautilya" and "Vishnugupta." Both names are associated with Chanakya (350-283 BCE), who was the tutor and Royal Minister of Emperor Chandragupta Maurya, the founder of the Mauryan Empire (322-185 BCE). Chandragupta was the first emperor to unify an assortment of small kingdoms in the South Asian sub-continent into a singular empire. However, the southern tip of the sub-continent remained unconquered.

What is important to know about the Arthashastra however is that it contained a philosophy for transforming a nation into a police state. The book contains calculating and even brutal measures for accomplishing "the good of the state," even if these measures required assassination, torture, espionage, harsh criminal punishments or war.

The good of state triumphed over all. Kautilya even claims that a leader must sometimes do evil actions in order to ensure the greater good of the state.

According to Kautilya, the king of a state has been created to be the protector of the castes and social order.

Later, many of the political and spiritual ideas of ancient India would be influential to Nazi Germany. But we'll get to that later in the text.

THE LEGALIST, TOTALITARIAN REVOLUTION IN CHINA

forbidden city

In the fourth and third century B.C, a totalitarian revolution was sweeping across the ancient world. China too was part of this revolution. This would turn the state of Chin into the Sparta of the East and would enable the creation of the first Chinese Empire in 221 BC.

LEGALISM: THE IDEA OF HARSH RULE BECOMES A KEY PHILOSOPHY IN CHINA

Legalism itself first developed in the 4th century BCE and the founder of the Legalist school was Hsün Tzu. The most important principle in his thinking was that humans are inherently wicked and that morality does not naturally exist in nature. Rather, morality must be enforced through an absolute leader and the mechanism of state authority.

Lord Shang, a key Legalist thinker who would emerge later, penned many of these ideas in "The Book of Lord Shang." Shang states that laws are designed to maintain the stability of the state from the people, who are believed to be innately selfish and ignorant. This is no such thing as objective goodness or virtue in Legalism; it is obedience that is of paramount importance. A harsh ruler is demanded to keep the people of the state under tight control.

DURING THE WARRING STATES PERIOD

QIN, THE SPARTA OF THE EAST, REIGNS SUPREME

During the warring states period (475 - 221 BCE), several states vied for supremacy. This was an extremely bloody and violent time period. Early on in the Warring States Period, the state of Qin was in a condition of under development and decline. Its population was mainly composed of semi-tribal people. This was part of the reason Qin was referred to as a "half barbarian" state. However, Qin was equipped with natural defenses that later allowed it to defend its borders and build up its military.

Through a series of dramatic reforms, Qin would eventually emerge supreme and become the state that unified all of China under its grasp.

THROUGH HARSH RULE, EMPEROR QIN UNITES AND GROWS EMPIRE IN CHINA

When Emperor Qin (260-210 BCE) established his empire, he unleashed a Totalitarian reign of terror to maintain order. This was a radical legal revolution that forever changed the history of the nation and was crucial in forming the state that we know as China today. To achieve total unification, the people of China were yoked to a Spartan existence of harsh labor, heavy taxes, rigorous laws and compulsive military service.

To strengthen the unity of his newly built empire, Qin carried out many reforms in the fields of politics, military and culture. Executive power in both central and local regions was reorganized and local counties were restructured. Qin also imposed a widespread standardization of weights, measurements, currency and the written character.

The infrastructure of the nation experienced radical growth. National roads and irrigation works were built. Qin also began work on one of China's greatest wonders - the Great Wall. In addition to these public works, Qin built several luxury palaces for himself and a city sized mausoleum. Thousands of laborers died in the construction of these immense projects. So many people died in the building of The Great Wall, that it is referred to as one of the longest cemeteries on Earth.

Even the freedom of thought was crushed by Qin's heavy hand. To prevent people from criticizing his policies, many books were burned - including books about past rulers and alternative political ideologies. There was also the infamous execution of scholars. In his second year of rule, after discovering some scholars had discussions about his arrogance, he buried 460 of them alive.

The words of the Legalist Theorist Han Fei Tzu (233 BCE) are relevant in understanding the nature of Qin's policies:

"Listening to the people would be enough. But the wisdom of the people is useless: They have the minds of little infants! If an infant's head is not shaved, its sores will spread, and if its boil is not opened, it will become sicker. Yet while its head is being shaved and its boil opened, one person has to hold it tight so that the caring mother can perform the operation, and it screams and wails without end. Infants and children don't understand that the small pain they have to suffer now will bring great benefit later (The Book of Master Han Fe)."

LEGALISM INSPIRES 20TH CENTURY MASS MURDERER, CHAIRMAN MAO

Mao Tse-tung, the founding father of the People's Republic in China was a great admirer of Legalism. Mao was also the greatest mass murderer of all time.

"He (Ch'in-Shih-huang, the first emperor of China) only buried alive 460 scholars, while we buried 46,000. In our suppression of the counterrevolutionaries, did we not kill some counterrevolutionary intellectuals? I once debated with the democratic people: You accuse us of acting like Ch'in-shih-huang, but you are wrong; we surpass him 100 times".  (Mao's First Speech to the Party Congress, May 17, 1958)

Mao was a blood thirsty reformer. He ultimately caused the deaths 80 million over the course of his regime.

AFTER ENDLESS CIVIL WAR IN ROME, AN EMPEROR TAKES CHARGE

julius

(JULIUS CAESAR) GET BETTER PICTURE

Now not every civilization in the ancient world existed under authoritarian rule. Rome was one of the few big civilizations that was a Republic. However, this situation degenerated into years of endless civil war where the plutocrats competed with one another over who would get the biggest piece of pie. Sound familiar?

Rome, like Sparta, was a horrendously militarized state, and set up the largest and most brutal slave trade in the ancient world. Now Rome, also the Republican Rome also committed suicide, but for some different reasons. In Rome, similar to modern America, plutocratic forces gained control of the political system. This led to endless quarrels, endless fights.

Finally a man named Julius Caesar said enough was enough, marched across the Rhine, and took over. Julius Caesar, a man of the political left, openly overthrew the Roman political establishment. That's a very important point to understand. The Roman Empire did appoint dictators also in times of war. It was Caesar, though, who completely violated, just threw out the entire structure of the system, and appointed himself dictator by force.

Now the American people who wrote the American Constitution didn't like Caesar, and they tried to justify their position by using people such as Cicero and his writings to justify their opposition to George III. We need to look closely at what this meant. Because Cicero, who was made a big hero in the modern world, was a representative of the upper classes, the rich - - against Caesar. You can't really understand anything if you don't understand this was the upper classes against Caesar. Now they conspired to assassinate Caesar, and succeeded in murdering him. Unfortunately once they got back into power, they still couldn't really get their act together, and without going into a whole lot of detail here, they were eventually, partially co-opted by Caesar's adopted son, one of the most extraordinary figures in world history Augustus Caesar, who after a series of wars, intrigues which we won't go into now, established himself as the supreme, de-facto dictator of Rome.

Now, Augustus was much cleverer than his adoptive father, Julius Caesar, because he used the rhetoric of the Republic to enforce his power. In other words, he claimed he was restoring the republic. Very clever move, and it's very similar to what's going on in modern America today, where he destroyed the Republic under the guise of restoring it. And Augustus ruled for a very long time, and put through a legal series of revolutions that enshrined the power of the authoritarian state, and basically buried democracy in the West for really 1500+ years, or maybe longer. You could say he buried it for 1800 years until the American and French revolutions.

Now that was basically the end of democracy, and nobody really mourned it, except the upper classes. Part of the problem with Roman history is a lot of the history was written by the upper classes, who did not like the Empire. So, they tended to record all the foibles of various emperors, and so on and so forth. But the structure of this was authoritarian.

THE POISON OF CHRISTIANITY INFILTRATES THE ANCIENT WORLD

THE TEACHINGS OF JUDAISM ENTER WESTERN CIVILIZATION

Now, in the process of creating the civilization - the Hellenistic civilization - you had the creation of the greatest library in the world in Alexandria, Egypt. And what this did was to bring together a huge amount of culture from all over the world. It is through the library in Alexandria, Egypt that Judaism for the first time entered Western civilization. Contrary to what you were taught in school, ancient Israel was a nothing, in terms of influence on the ancient world, except perhaps as a minor buffer state between empires, and there is no evidence of the Exodus, no serious archaeological evidence of the Exodus, there's no serious archaeological evidence that David and Solomon ever even existed. This fact is glossed over, and I know when I was taught history in elementary school, I was given the impression ancient Israel was one of the most powerful states in the Ancient World - it's absolute rubbish. The ideas - along with translating a lot of other ideas - the ideas of ancient Judaism began to enter the Western world through the library at Alexandria. And you've got to remember that Greek was the language of the intellectuals in the ancient world until quite a ways into the Roman Empire. It was not Latin.

THE EVOLUTION OF CHRISTIANITY IN THE ROMAN WORLD

Now, in Alexandria, there was a tremendous amount of interchange of ideas and religious cults, and so on. We believe that it is in Alexandria that you had the evolution of the cult of Jesus, the cult of Christianity. No one really knows because it's poorly... What we do know for sure is there's zero historical evidence, and this is a very well-documented period in ancient history. There's zero historical evidence for the existence of Jesus. But we do know that Christianity as a cult began to evolve, and we see in Christianity elements of the Eastern world: the concept of baptism, which was virtually alien to anything in Judaism, and stuff like that put into this cult. A very ugly aspect of all this was to take the virulently intolerant ideas of ancient Judaism. As we point out on our website, the heroes in ancient Judaism were the people who exterminated all the religions. And ancient Judaism is also a campaign of genocide. This is that after the Holocaust and World War II, there was an attempt to sort of sugarcoat all of this, but you cannot sugarcoat all this, because this became an integral part of Christianity. Without going into all the ins and outs of of what happened in the Roman Empire and so on, in the fourth century A.D., Christianity seized power in the Roman Empire.

CHRISTIANITY UNLEASHES A REIGN OF TERROR UPON THE ANCIENT WORLD,

AND USHERS IN THE DARK AGES

Now what happened after that is absolutely history-making. There was a reign of terror the likes of which the world has never known, in terms of totalitarian terror. It was inspired by the Jewish Old Testament, which was adopted as a so-called sacred bulkier, and the church proclaimed itself to be the new Israel. This, again, had never happened before, and led to a wholesale extermination of all competing religions, destruction of temples, destruction of ancient learning, virtually never had existed before. And this would plunge Europe into a Dark Ages that would last really a long time. It would lead to the wholesale collapse of the Western part of the Roman Empire, leaving a rough part of the Roman Empire, a sort of bastardized copy, the Byzantine Empire, that would stumble along until around the 15th century, in one form or another.

THE RISE OF DEMOCRACIES AND THE INDUSTRIALIZED WORLD

RELIGIOUS HANGOVER LEADS TO CHANGES IN THE WEST

So n Europe, for a long time you had endless religious wars, crusades, inquisitions and witch hunts. This violence ultimately culminated into the 30 Years War, where a third to half of the population of Germany was murdered by the various followers of Christ murdering one another and so on. That really was the last straw that helped the people in Europe to realize something may be fundamentally wrong with their ideas on religion and Christianity. And that lead to a sort of worship of the classical world, but it was an idealized worship of the classical world, and this led to the French Revolution and the American revolution. This led to people thinking that they were going to re-create the Roman republic.

So in the 1750’s the West experienced an era that emphasized intellect, reason and science over traditional forms of authority, such as the church. In rebellion against the traditional authority of kings, democracies and nation states were established. A new merchant class emerged after revolutions that trimmed down the authority of kings and priests, and thus Capitalism and the Industrial Revolution got started. There was a hope that the human condition would be elevated and improved through the vehicle of science and rational thought.

A new world of science, medicine and technology caused the human population to explode exponentially, beyond anything ever seen in history.

Yet it would be misleading to say that religion was abandoned in this era. Yes, it is arguable that many of the founding fathers (such as Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin were Deists, rather than Christians). Yet while Christianity was no longer the main infrastructure of government in the West, it still remains a chief cultural factor.

So what were the results of Capitalism, Industrialism and Democracy? Was this a good historical development? Was it bad? There is a disputed quote of the prominent Chinese Communist leader Zhou Enlai. It is said that when he was asked what he thought about the French Revolution, his response was, "It's too soon to tell." Now there are arguments about the actual meaning and validity of the quote. But we won't get into that. The larger point is that only 200 years has passed since the birth of Industrialism, Capitalism and Democracy in the West. These values have also only existed on a global scale for about 50-100 years. So considering that the time scale of human history is 5,000 year, this time line is really a drop in the bucket.

Yet an important point to consider historically is the world that emerged in response to these ideas - the world that emerged with the trifecta of Democracy, Capitalism and Christianity dominated the globe by the beginning of the 20th century.

FIRST WAVE OF TOTALITARIANISM IN THE 20TH CENTURY

fascist export

By 1914, Christianity had taken power over most of the world. Obviously, the colonial subjects of the Western powers didn't have democracy, but all the major states were democracies. So, was the world on the verge of utopia? No. What were the actual results? Two world wars and today's environmental catastrophe.

However, in the beginning of the 20th century, there was a major cultural shift that challenged both the predominant political and religious institutions of The Western World. This was the global revolution towards fascism.

After World War I, the world was experiencing the hangover of British and Christian imperialism. There was also The Great Depression that began in 1929.

At this point, it looked like Democracy and Capitalism were on their way out. People began to openly discuss other political ideologies, such as communism and fascism. While the words 'totalitarianism' and 'fascism' are new, they are connected to ancient concepts of authoritarian rule that are thousands of years old. As fascism began to emerge, the world began to see the return to ideas rooted in deep history - the return of cultural concepts more similar to what existed in Ancient Rome, India and China, than the predominant Christian culture. Italian fascists looked to ancient Rome for inspiration. The Italian Fascist salute was even inspired by the Roman salute. A gesture of holding the arm straight forward with the palm down and fingers touching. Then the Nazis made their own variant of this salute.

Suffice it to say, people began to seriously consider Fascism as a viable alternative to Democracy and Capitalism after the failures of the 1920's. Even John F. Kennedy had some positive things to say about National Socialist Germany before World War II. A book called "Unter Deutschen: Reisetagebücher und Briefe 1937-1945" discusses his travels among the Germans.

In this text Kennedy has been quoted as saying the following:

"Hitler seems to be as popular here as Mussolini in Germany, although propaganda is probably his most powerful weapon."

"'Fascism?...The right thing for Germany.'"

"What are the evils of fascism compared to communism?"

John Kennedy's own father also had some fairly negative opinions on Democracy.

"'Democracy is finished in England. It may be here [in the US]."

“People call me a pessimist. I say, 'What is there to be gay about? Democracy is all done.'”

SOURCE: The Boston Sunday Globe, November 10 1940.

THE FIRST WAVE OF MODERN FASCISM TAKES PLACE IN THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY

By the spring of 1941, Fascism had become the dominant political ideology on the planet.  Continental Europe (with the exception of Switzerland and Sweden) was under direct fascist control from the Straits of Gibraltar, to the North Cape of Norway, to the island of Crete in the Mediterranean; a European fascist empire had been created. Plans were put forth for a European common market, a predecessor of today's EU. In the summer of 1940, Goebbles had the German Fraktur script, a Gothic kind of script which was the main text of German newspapers and books, changed to the Western Roman script, so that this would be the basis of a more international empire.

FASCISM AMONG ARABS AND INDIANS

What is less well known is the huge popularity of fascism in what is known today as the Third World. To be specific, the Arab independence movements saw Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy as a model for their struggle for independence against British and French imperialism.

The single most prominent Islamic leader, the Mufti of Jerusalem, moved to Berlin to meet with Hitler and direct a global campaign of Islamic liberation.

In India, Nazi Germany's victory over France was hailed as a great triumph by a good part of the Indian independence movement. Subash Bose, who was at one point the number two leader in the Indian Congress party, had sided with Germany and was beginning to organize an Indian independent Army to liberate India. Bose would later meet with Hitler in Berlin. Today he is seen as a national hero of India and it's very, very important to understand that there are close links between the modern Indian nationalist party, the BJP, and its predecessors in the 1930's who enthusiastically supported Nazi Germany. Also, as we have discussed, the Nazis saw their ideology as coming from ancient India.

Still more significant is the fact that Hitler greatly admired Islam and discussed that in his conversations and probably Himmler's favorite division in the Waffen SS was the Handschar division of Muslims. He was particularly proud of that. So there is a larger ideological affinity here.

FASCISM INSPIRES PERON IN ARGENTINA

Perón, who would later become in charge of Argentina, was tremendously inspired by fascism. He had served as a military attaché in Rome during the 1930's, personally observing the success of Mussolini's regime.

FASCISM IN THE EAST

In the East Japan had conquered a good part of China and the number two man in Chiang Kai-shek's government had defected to set up a Chinese government in support of Japan. A million Chinese troops fought on the Japanese side and though the Japanese did a very clumsy job of it, they presented themselves as liberators against Western imperialism and future leaders of the independent Third World such as Sukarno in Indonesia enthusiastically supported Japan.

So this was a global movement. Of also great significance is the fact that Chiang Kai-shek in China was also a huge admirer of fascism and it was a terribly embarrassing situation during the middle of World War II where he published a book called "China's Destiny" which openly admired the fascist system of government.

AFTERMATH OF WORLD WAR II ENDS DOMINANCE OF FASCISM...FOR A TIME...

So this was a global movement. This is a movement of enormous significance. Now the defeat of Germany and Japan by England, America and the Soviet Union in 1945 ended this dominance of fascism, of world political ideology for the time being. It did. And perhaps the critical error (and historians will debate this and we certainly can't resolve this) that Hitler made was not coming to an agreement with Stalin, who was quite interested to come to an agreement with Hitler.

The disastrous visit of Foreign Minister Molotov with Hitler in November 1940 is a very fateful moment. It is very important to understand that the defeat of Nazi Germany was primarily due to the fighting done by the Soviet Union, they did most of the fighting, so you need to sort of filter out all the nonsense that America did 90% of the fighting. That is just that, nonsense.

THE EVOLUTION OF COMMUNISM INTO FASCISM

Now Mussolini was very sympathetic to communism and he felt that the Soviet Union would evolve into fascism. In our time we've seen such an evolution in the form of what is happened in what is still called communist China, but really ought to be called Neofascist China, where the emerging superpower is a fascist state.

DEMOCRACY ALMOST COLLAPSES IN COLD WAR

In the aftermath of World War II, two crazy ideologies seized control of the planet: American imperialism on one side, and Soviet imperialism and communism on the other side. Due to the incompetence of America's handling of World War II, and the total incompetence of the handling of the peace, America blundered into - and really helped start up - a third world war after World War II, and succeeded in botching things up so badly in China that they helped bring to power one of the most murderous regimes in history: the regime of Mao in China. Now, this was not a Cold War if you happened to live in places like Vietnam, Korea, or other places, and this was a war which used up trillions and trillions of dollars that could have gone into building an environmentally safe society, and led to a huge death toll.

Yet America did make a pretty brilliant decision in forming an alliance with communist China. If Russia and China had made an alliance instead, it is very likely that Capitalist America would have lost The Cold War, rather than the Soviet Union.

The way to look at the collapse of the Soviet Union is that this was the collapse of one bankrupt system that was in competition with another bankrupt system. America and the West came awfully close to collapsing in 1990 themselves. In fact, American and the West were in such severe economic trouble that had the Soviet empire been able to hold together, America might have fallen apart in the 1990s. The reduction in defense spending and the overall era of good feeling in the financial markets produced by the collapse of communism was able to save the Western states from the kind of collapse that hit the Soviet Union. That is, for a time...

THE GROWTH OF A POLITICAL MONOCULTURE AFTER 1990

When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, American style democracy emerged as the preeminent political ideology on the globe. Some said this was the "end of history," because it was assumed that all civilizations would become American style democracies. Indeed in the 1990's, America became the world's foremost political and economic super power.

However, America accelerated its efforts to do something that few rulers in history have tried to do, enforce its ideology upon the rest of the planet. Much of this has been led by lunatic levels of hysteria that were risen after the attacks of 9/11. Yes, the attacks on American soil were certainly a tragedy. But America's response to the attack is completely insane considering the scope of the problem. 19 Hijackers with box cutters were able to push America into unleashing a 'Global War on Terror'...or war "Of Terror" that is still being carried out today, 14 years later. Trillions have been spent. Up to seven countries have been invaded and bombed. Thousands have been killed in drone attacks that know no international boundaries or limits, and many fundamental American liberties have been scrapped for the sake of 'fighting terror.'

During the Cold War America was facing threat of annihilation from a nuclear armed super power, and even then, America did not cut its civil liberties and respond in such a manner. So what we're seeing today is a form of pathological madness, a sort of unwinding of a system that is in the process of collapse.

Today America is pushing megalomanic, imperialistic delusions that are in the current process of spiraling out of control.

AMERICAN DEMOCRACY IN CRISIS

Now as we have mentioned earlier, the last forty years of history has seen an unprecedented scale of death and destruction in the natural world, with half of the world's wildlife population being murdered since 1970, along with 98% of the lions, 97% of the tigers, 98% of the whales, so on and so forth. We have also mentioned the death toll among the amphibians, bats and bees, which raises very ominous questions about an explosion of insects and a collapse of agriculture.

This amount of death and destruction isn't an accident. It isn't an innocent mistake committed by a healthy system. This is pathological madness. A pathological madness that has taken place at a time when America is the world's reigning super power. Now obviously America isn't the only country responsible for destroying the environment. Yet this destruction is taking place at a time when America's system of economics and food production has become the predominant global norm. In particular, we're talking about the 'green revolution' that has been exported from America to the third world.

Yet America's current actions are not separate from its history, if anything, they are an outgrowth of its past - a sort of 'manifest destiny' that is stretching to cover the entire globe.

If you look at America, 95% of the original forests in the continental United States have been destroyed. Over 95% of the wetlands. An interesting picture of American history is the picture of some American hunters standing on a giant mountain buffaloes skulls, because they exterminated the buffalo to help exterminate the Indians and the mass murder of nature is directly connected to the genocide against the native Americans.

You must remember that America was a country built on genocide. America wasn't a vacant parking lot when the Europeans arrived. Other people were living here.

So a key theme that emerges here is the malevolent nature of the current world order, particularly in America. This is not a good system that just somehow got confused; this is a fundamentally evil and malevolent system, with sick foundations.

GO BACK TO TABLE OF CONTENTS

GENOCIDAL FOUNDATIONS

skull pile

There are different structures of genocide in history. The historical structure of genocide is to force people off their land, because land is a source of life, and when people are moved off their land, there tends to be a lot fewer of them. They tend to die, which was the basic modus operandi, the basic method of American genocide.

The colonization of the American continents is one of the most brutal campaigns of racial genocide in human history.

It is estimated that the indigenous population for North, Central and South America was anywhere between 50-100 million before the arrival of Europeans en masse in the era of Columbus. Yet after the arrival of Europeans to the American continents, an estimated 80%-90% of the indigenous population died off. A large factor was the transmission of European diseases like Small Pox. Yet the genocide and forced relocation of indigenous people on the part of European immigrants also played a role.

Now in the case of America, the structure of American imperialism from day one was racial imperialism. In other words, it was not just to conquer the Native Americans; the Native Americans were to be removed from their land, and stuck in glorified concentration camps known as "reservations." In other words, it wasn't that we were going to take over the land from the Iroquois, and various people like that; they were to be physically expelled and replaced by white settlers, and this led to the decision - under probably the most racist president in American history, Andrew Jackson, to expel whole sections of the native populations in the early 19th century. The Trail of Tears was just a small part of the whole campaign of racial imperialism. This was also carried out in the West.

So the conquest of the North American landscape, the total destruction of the Native American, this was called 'Manifest Destiny,' an idea of making everything from coast-to coast belong to America.

In modern times, this is an idea that has extended to global conquest. Now obviously this isn't called 'global conquest,' but it's an idea of extending American economic and political concepts to every country around the globe. These are megalomanic delusions of imperialism than even people like Hitler and Stalin never proclaimed.

THE WORLD CREATED BY WORLD WAR II

It was the events of World War II, as well as the aftermath, that brought America into the lead as the world's predominant superpower.

Yet one of the greatest reasons why the world is in such a tremendous state of crisis today is the total and complete mismanagement of World War II by America, specifically by Franklin Roosevelt. In 1943, World War II was, for all intents and purposes, over. The main part of the Japanese fleet had been sent to the bottom of the ocean at the Battle of Midway, the German sixth Army had been destroyed at Stalingrad. Key military figures in both Italy and Germany were frantically trying to overthrow their own governments, and contact the United States so that they could end the war. An informal agreement had been reached with the Italian military for Italy to exit the war.

U.S. PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT WRECKS CHANCES TO END WORLD WAR II

At this point in time, US president Franklin Roosevelt  made one of the most completely insane, criminal, and stupid decisions in the entire history of the world. Roosevelt, without even consulting his allies, without even gaining approval - though he sort of told Churchill about this about five seconds before he announced it - announced that the policy of the allies would be unconditional surrender. In other words, there is no point of the Italians to negotiate; there is no point of the Germans to negotiate, because there would be no negotiations. Either they'd surrender totally and completely with no conditions whatsoever, or the war would be fought to the bitter end.

This completely undermined the power of the anti-Nazi resistance within Germany. It completely derailed in the short term the plan by the Italian military to surrender Italy. Now, the latter point was that this had to be done quickly, to avoid the Germans finding out about it. Since Roosevelt wrecked all the negotiations, the Germans did find out about it, and seized control of Italy. Thus the plan by the Allies to quickly take control of Italy turned into a complete disaster that led to a huge slaughter, and never really got untangled until early 1945.  This is a matter of enormous significance. If the war had ended in 1943, the majority of the Holocaust victims would've survived. The majority of the German cities and the Japanese cities would not have been incinerated by the British and the Americans. The Russian army would've ended the war, way out on the Eastern front, and the nightmare of communist rule in Europe after the war probably would not have happened. Now, the series of disasters of produced by America did not stop there.

BRITISH AND AMERICAN FORCES DOUBLE CROSS RUSSIA

In the summer of 1943, the British and the Americans double-crossed the Russians, and violated - for the second time - the solemn agreement to open up a second front in Europe. This meant that the Russians would continue to bleed and die on their end of the front, without the Allies opening up a second front. Now, part of the problem was the delusion, particularly on the part of the British, but also on the part of the Americans, that the knowing and deliberate mass murder of German civilians, that the wholesale firebombing of cities, would scare the Germans so badly that they would surrender, and therefore there would be no need for D-Day. This policy was a complete atrocity from day one. It's a well-known military fact that England and America consistently lied, and claimed that they were pursuing "precision bombing," and were only aiming at military targets and - gosh, if some civilians got killed, that was terrible - but of course, that wasn't what they were planning.

Now, another problem was that the Americans kept badgering -  aside from not opening up a second front to help the Russians - they kept badgering the Russians to violate their nonaggression pact with Japan, and invade China, which they eventually did, which helped produce communism in China, which is an event that lead to the deaths of over 80 million Chinese citizens. This was another complete insanity, which led to total disaster.

In late 1943, the single most-important conference of the war took place: the Tehran conference. The two scoundrels Roosevelt and Churchill showed up, having completely violated their pledges to the Soviet Union to open up a second front. This meant that they were in a very poor negotiating position with Stalin. Now what was agreed upon was basically a deliberate campaign of further civilian mass murder of German civilians. An absolute unbelievable agreement was reached, where 15 million German civilians would be deported from Czechoslovakia and Poland into Germany - specifically, the eastern part of Germany, which was later classified  as Poland. And when this happened, two million of them died in the process. The notion that Roosevelt and Churchill claimed later, that "oh, I thought would that it be done in a humane way" is so ridiculous it doesn't really merit serious consideration.

THE DEVASTATION OF "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER"

Now as the war progressed, the bombing campaign failed to produce the desired results. It did do a very good job of incinerating thousands of years of art and culture; and it did a very good job of massacring German civilians; it completely failed to end the war. It also, according to postwar and military analysis, was a complete misuse of resources, since if they targeted military targets instead of murdering civilians, they could've ended the war a lot more quickly. Had it not been for unconditional surrender, it's possible that it might have worked, but the fact is it didn't.

So, the Allies had to organize D-Day in 1944. Now, the important point about D-Day was that D-Day was also directed against the Russians. Now the war was basically over, it had been won by the Russians, who did a majority of fighting and dying to defeat Hitler. Yet D-Day was designed far from the purpose of liberating Europe, but more for the purpose of preventing the Russian army from reaching the Atlantic coast, since the bombing campaign had completely failed to produce the desired surrender. So the Allies launched D-Day, which involved fighting about 20% of the German forces. The grand irony here is that it is often taught that D-Day was the most decisive battle in the history of the world, which it most certainly was not). But after this point, World War II was over. The Russians would've won, would've arrived on the Atlantic coast without D-Day. So anyways, the Allies launched D-Day, and then moved about one mile an hour into Germany.

And then in 1944, another act of total mass insanity was launched by Roosevelt, which was the 'Morgenthau plan.' The Morgenthau plan - which Roosevelt signed, and later claimed he didn't sign - was a plan to de-industrialize Germany in a manner that most economic analysts would agree would lead to mass starvation throughout central Europe. This was all basically a campaign of genocide, and even though Roosevelt felt forced to repudiate the Morganthau plan, the Morgenthau plan was informally adopted as part of the initial occupation of Germany. What this did was to further prevent any ending of the war. Now the war in Germany ended up being fought to the death, basically, it didn't end until the Russian army ended up in Berlin.

Meanwhile, in Asia, the policy of unconditional surrender guaranteed the war would go on to the very bitter end there.  The Americans adopted a campaign of wholesale civilian mass murder once they got within air range of Japan. Probably the greatest single war crime organized by America in the war was the firebombing of Tokyo in March 1945, where more people died there than in the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki . It's very important to understand Hiroshima and Nagasaki would've looked exactly the same at the end of the war without the nuclear bomb. It just would've taken 1000 bombers a couple of days to do what one bomber did in half an hour. So, it's a very important point about morality and the ethics of the whole situation. The idea that America just 'had to drop the bomb' is nonsense.

So the war eventually came to a total end in 1945. Now, the extension of the war from 1943 to 45 was just an utter catastrophe, because it led to such a wholesale level of slaughter and destruction that there was the mad scramble to recover in the postwar period, regardless of how this affected the environment. But the disasters didn't stop there. Roosevelt died without really training Truman in much of anything about what was going on, another act of total insanity. And when Truman came to power, he adopted an extremely hostile and threatening attitude towards the Soviet Union, even though the Soviet Union had lost 17 million people in the war, as opposed to America's 300,000. So in particular, America kept demanding that Russia hold free elections in Poland. Well, no government - no Russian government, capitalist, communist, Democratic - would stand for being told how to run its occupation of Poland by a foreign country. It would not. And Churchill then gave his famous Iron Curtain speech, where he suggested that the West threaten Russia with a potential nuclear attack.

THE AFTERMATH OF WORLD WAR II

Truman had seen a copy of the speech since he was standing next to Churchill beforehand, but then lied about it, and claimed he had never seen it. All this did not do very good things to encourage Stalin to be more cooperative, and he threw resources into China to enable the communists to crush the nationalists. Meanwhile, America on its part slapped an arms embargo against Chiang Kai-shek, who'd been given very little aid to begin with. The end result was the victory of Mao in the Chinese Civil War. The hostile attitude of Truman towards Russia led to the beginning of the Cold War, which became a very hysterical situation after the communists seized control of China and, much to the shock of America, exploded an atomic bomb in 1949. This was just an absolute shockwave in America, and this directly led to the mass hysteria of religion in America, where evangelism began to soar: 'in God we trust was put on coins,' and the Democrats were eventually thrown out of the White House in the election of 1952.

But the subset of all this was to set in motion an enormous arms race that further squeezed the global environment, and further created a sense of desperation in terms of economic growth. These facts are directly related to the beginning of the global environmental crisis, that today, threatens the world. Now in our time, there's been a great reinterpretation of World War II as sort of a glorious struggle, and this great battle against evil, to say nothing of the fact that Stalin's regime was every bit as murderous as Hitler's, and Mao's was even more murderous, and Stalin did the overwhelming majority of the fighting in World War II. But, this has been reinterpreted to be a glorious, sacred struggle, and therefore with America naturally saving the world in every instance, and therefore this is the logic for an American imperium over the entire world.

Obviously, this is a deception. Obviously, this is a lie. Obviously, this is a criminal fraud. But this is what much of today's world system is based on. Now you cannot live a lie; you cannot live a deception. And this is why the outlook for the world is very problematic in our time, and this is why other countries need to take a very close look at American imperialism.

AMERICA: LAND OF THE LIE. DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR

IS THE DREAM REALLY FOR ALL?

lady liberty

So today's predominant world order and government is American style democracy. Out of the three competing ideologies of the 20th century (democracy, fascism and capitalism), democracy was the one that survived into the 21st century.

Now every empire in history has its pluses and minuses.  Inside America is a problem of illness and delusion at the heart of its ideology and leadership. There is the concept that man can conquer nature. This is connected to religious delusions that God has somehow ordained the American people or the American rulers to build a great wonderland here by destroying nature. This shows a fundamental lack of understanding of reality.  It also shows a fundamental inner, moral sickness, a fundamental inner moral evil. You don't have to be a scientist to see the madness and the criminality of the American dream. The most elemental analysis of the data shows that all this is headed towards total disaster without drastic change.  But the American people continue to live in a dream world, and their leaders continue to feed them delusions of grandeur that 'nobody's ever had it so good,' 'America's number one,' so on and so on and so forth; even though basic studies of international well-being show that America is way behind a good part of the rest of the world.

One of the main things to understand about American style democracy is that it is a system of deceit. The idea of the American dream is the promise of freedom for all. Behind the structure of American imperialism and plutocracy you have people like Bill Gates and Bill Clinton who insist that they are building a Wonderland for all, and that you, the average citizen, that your life is going to have meaning, and that you are going to have this wonderful time. Psychologically, a lot of this is an evolution of the utopian ideas of the 19th and 20th century, particularly the egalitarian utopian ideas, where nobody will be left behind. Some philosophers even see this as an evolution of Christian theology, in terms of the idea of salvation for all. But is this really true? Can you really create a system where everyone will be rich and no one will lose?

This seems like a nice ideal, but the cold reality is that history has always been a game of haves and have nots. And the great irony of our age is that despite all the rhetoric about human rights and equality, we're actually seeing the worst economic inequality in history. The world today is a bitter division between the haves and the have nots. Because of ideas about capitalism and the free market, there is the assumption of a 'just world theory,' similar actually to what is promoted in Christianity. The 'just world theory' is the idea that everyone in life gets what they deserve. In other words, if people are poor today, it's only because they didn't work hard enough, and since we have this wonderful 'free market economy,' this implies that anyone willing to work hard can get ahead if they simply put their mind to it.

But this is a lie. The game is rigged. Both the U.S economy and the world economy are a series of subsidies that support the rich, and support wealthy corporations (such as big oil and big agro-business). Many of these corporations wouldn't even be profitable if they weren't receiving subsidies. So this isn't really a 'free market'. This is a system of socialism for the rich and competitive capitalism for everyone else.

THE NEW SLAVERY

slavery

Slavery in the Western world officially ended in the 19th century. This came via the closing of the trans-atlantic slave trade, and many movements that resulted in the liberation of slaves in places like America, South America, Haiti and so on.

Yet today there is a new form of slavery that in many ways is much more effective than the old slavery. This is because the 'new slavery' is a system of deceit. People are brainwashed into believing that they're free, and that no one has ever had it so good. And that if anything is wrong in their life, it is simply because they aren't working hard enough. That's why so many people suffer from depression, and the plutocracy has a solution for that too - take happy pills!

So today's slavery is not so obvious. While there still is the horror of human trafficking going on all over the world, we submit that the more mainstream slavery is a system of deceit. Today's modern slavery does not come in the form of chains, but in the shackles around the mind. Today's world in many ways is similar to the movie The Matrix. This explains the movie's popularity. Deep inside, many people realize that there is something deeply wrong with their lives, but they don't always have the education or vocabulary to understand what exactly it is that is wrong. This is why movies and art are so important. The subconscious mind is often aware of truths that the conscious mind suppresses in order to deal with day to day life. When someone's life becomes all about going to work and making money, they can become numb to what is important - to what is spiritually important.

So below we're going to talk more about how the lie of 'The American Dream' has been exported onto the rest of the globe.

WESTERN COLONIALISM IS REPLACED BY RUTHLESS ECONOMIC IMPERIALISM OF THE BANKS

money

THE 'DEVELOPING' AND DEVELOPED WORLD EMERGES

DEVELOPING COUNTRIES ARE PROMISED 'THE AMERICAN DREAM'

INSTEAD DESCEND INTO INDUSTRIAL HELL

In the aftermath of World War II, most of the French and British colonies fought for and won their independence. Their independence wasn't granted as some noble gesture from the West. The reality is that former global empires were too bankrupt from two world wars to even maintain a global empire.

When these former colonies declared their independence, the idea of 'first world' and 'third world' countries emerged, or 'developing' and 'developed' countries. This all sounds nice - giving off this idea that poor countries are merely a 'work in progress,' with the hope of 'developing' one day into a first world power the likes of America. But this is not to be.

In the aftermath of World War II, what began to emerge was a sort of economic imperialism of the West that replaced the bygone days of colonialism. Organizations like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund signed up third world countries for predatorial loans with interest rates that were frankly criminal. In the end, most of these countries had no possible way to pay back these astronomical debts, and so were placed into a sort of debt slavery and austerity. A notable example is Jamaica.

In 1976, former Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Manley was forced to sign Jamaica's first loan agreement with the IMF due to a lack of viable alternatives. At the present, Jamaica now owes more than $4.5 billion, and yet has gained none of the meaningful 'development' that the series of loans have promised. The structural adjustment policies imposed have had a negative impact on the lives of Jamaicans over all. The country is paying out more than it has received. When Jamaica cannot make one of its payments, more stringent policies are imposed. Money for the public good is shifted to private investment, the cost of labor is kept inhumanly low, Jamaica is forced to import foreign goods rather than making their own products, high security factories are set up in free trade zones where women work for $30 dollars a week in substandard conditions, and all of this has culminated into a type of ruthless, neoliberal serfdom. This has resulted in mass unemployment, sweeping corruption, mass illiteracy, increased violence, prohibitive food costs, dilapidated hospitals and increased disparity between the rich and the poor. And sadly, this is just a part of a pattern of structural adjustment policies imposed on the developing world.

So this smiley faced, sugary rhetoric that 'no one is going to get left behind' is really a macabre joke.

And worst of all, this is creating an environmental nightmare. What if all the developing countries did start to consume at first world levels? This wouldn't be humanly sustainable. Even though the United States is only 5% of the world population, they currently consume 25% of the world's resources. Could every country manage to consume at this rate? Absolutely not.

So already there is a great deal of anger in the developing world. Yet when the so called developed countries run out of money and resources for their program of economic imperialism, there's going to be a bloody lash back. Are people in developing countries going to take living in near slavery conditions forever? No they are not. And when the ticking climate bomb goes off, many of the people in the developing world will probably be the most vulnerable to the coming climate disasters (in terms of coastal flooding, plagues, diseases, tsunamis, rising temperatures and dying crops). Are these people going to depart from the world peacefully? No they will not.

SICKNESS IN AMERICA

us flag

So there is something rather wrong and sick with the values that America is attempting to impose on the rest of the world. Much of this is a manifestation of the inner spiritual sickness of American life. This has been true from the early days of America's genocidal foundations, and this is true when you look at the endless campaign of imperialism and warmongering around the globe. This isn't anything new. This is something that is inherent to the fundamental roots and character of America itself. While we don't have all the answers as to why this is, we will explore of the quintessential problems of American life below.

SICK RELIGIOUS IDEAS - SHALLOW ROOTS OF MODERN U.S. RELIGION

There is a lot of talk among America's religious elites about 'traditional values.' Yet we must ask, what are real traditional values, and what are fake traditional values? We again want to emphasize that the intellectual, political and religious world of modern America is not a reflection of long-term traditional values in history. Many of America's prevailing religious trends, such as evangelism, are only about one hundred years old.

Now many of America's founding fathers were not all that religious. But the truth of the matter is that many of Europe's puritans and religious crazies did relocate to America (to which many Europeans said 'good riddance!'). These puritans were not seeking religious freedom (despite the lies taught in America's history books), but they were actually looking to set up their own loony, religious totalitarian state in America. You can see some of this in the madness of the early Salem witch trials.

Yet obviously not all Americans felt this way, and one of the great things that would emerge in America is the goal of religious freedom. What is interesting to note today is that early American history was not as religious as some people may think today. The Puritanical model of religious totalitarianism ultimately fell apart at the seams. Think about it, there are no 'puritans' today. Also, church membership in modern America, the 1950s through even today, is at a far higher level than it was during colonial times. The consumption of drugs and alcohol today is actually far lower than it was in colonial times. In fact, the phrase 'In God We Trust' was not added to American money until after the 1950's, along with the phrase about God in the pledge of allegiance.

RELIGIOUS REVIVAL IN THE 1950s

But it should be noted that there was a tremendous religious so-called revival in the 1950s after World War II. The 1950s were the biggest church building boom in America. In the 1950s, you had a kind of fairy tale view of life. There was mom and dad, going to church, having this marvelous time, having this solid family living. Blacks and women were kept in their place. Women could wait around and find Mr. Prince charming, and so on and so forth, and via the religious structure, they'd enjoy this marvelous wholesome family living , and drive around in their station wagons and then go to heaven, where - according to some evangelist who claimed they had been to heaven and come back - they claimed that people were eating hamburgers and driving station wagons in heaven. One person claimed he met Moses, and Moses was driving a station wagon and wearing T-shirt and jeans, so this obviously meant that America was a portent of heaven.

THE CULTURAL REVOLUTION OF THE 1960s

In the 1960s, all this fell apart. It was basically because it was doomed to fall apart. It was a complete house of cards.

Now in the 60s was the so-called "counter cultural revolution", and in this counter cultural revolution, the whole artificial sexual moral structure of America basically disintegrated, and people began to explore different sexual relationships outside the bigoted and unreal confines of the pseudo-morality of the 1950s. At the same time, there was widespread use of drugs and people began to explore ancient religions, alternative religions to the traditional Christian point of view.

Now as in most revolutionary periods, there were a lot of excesses. There were a lot of excesses, and a lot of crazy things happened that were silly and stupid. One of the problems with the 60s is that this was connected to an ideology of pacifism, and an ideology of extreme left-wing socialism. However, the 60s did lead to an awareness about the criminal destruction of the environment, the insanity of that, and it led to the rise of the environmental movement, which by the early 1970s had passed some truly revolutionary legislation that made things a lot better. Roe v. Wade was also passed in the supreme court, which gave women more freedom over their own bodies. So there were also strides made in the fields of women's rights and sexual freedoms.

Nixon ended the draft, and even though Nixon ended up being politically destroyed by his enemies, the reaction in America set in. And also the cultural revolution of the 60s had its weak points and prevented it from being a long-term success. Extreme left-wing socialism was not a very good economic policy, pacifism was a study in stupidity and hypocrisy. So a good part of this kind of self-destructed on its own. Also, the excessive consumption of drugs, obviously not a good idea, excessive consumption of alcohol, obviously not a good idea, and so on- - so a lot of this fell apart.

THE RETURN OF RELIGIOUS LUNACY IN THE 1980s

Yes, some of the developments of the counter culture revolution were positive, in terms of awakening people to different ideas on religion and sexuality. But because of the excessive nature of this revolution, this also generated a lot of anger and resentment. Sexual excess led to the spread of sexual disease. The AIDS epidemic began. Many women in the 1960s were raped and obviously felt very bitter and angry about this. There were also many people who ruined their lives with drugs, sex and alcohol. So amidst the hangover of the 1960s and 70s, America saw a conservative lash back in the 1980s. Many of the people who dabbled in 'free love' and drugs in the 60s turned to a new kind of extreme once the fun of the drugs wore out - many of these people turned to religious extremism.

So there would evolve all kinds of conservatism and lunacy in the 1980s that has caused some major problems in our world today. Reagan began the War on Drugs. Funding for air quality and the EPA was cut. By the end of the 80s, the prison population had doubled, and since the year 1980, the prison population now has increased by about 400% today. An era of tax cuts and neoliberal excesses also began from which we have never recovered.

THE SO CALLED 'WAR ON DRUGS'

AMERICA'S LEGAL DRUG ADDICTION

Few things are more ludicrous than this so-called 'war on drugs' that was kick started in the Reagan Era.

Today in America there is no 'war on drugs.' It's become a war 'for drugs' being fought on behalf of the pharmaceutical companies by the government. There is a war against certain drug industry's, cocaine and so on who failed to buy off the right politicians in Washington, and so there is a huge war against them, but this isn't a war on drugs, it's a war of one set of drug pushers hijacking and controlling the state to murder, or rub out another set of drug pushers. The collateral damage here is millions of people in jail, millions of people's lives wrecked as the state of drug pushers arrest people for buying products from the non-state drug pushers, but that's just a symptom of the whole overall system of repression and deceit.

So one of the indicators of deep mental and spiritual sickness of American life is the fact that so many Americans are addicted to legal drugs. Even though our nation's population is only 5% of the world, American's consume 60% of the world's psychiatric drugs.

According to the New York Times, one in five Americans take at least one psychiatric medication, and one in four suffers from mental illness. Mental illness is becoming a growing problem in America. Serious mental illness costs America $193.2 billion a year in lost earnings (NAMI). Mood disorders such as depression are also the third most common cause of hospitalization in the U.S. for adults between the ages of 18-44 (NAMI). Yet the trouble with the mental health industry is that the study of the brain is still a relatively new area. Also, most of the drugs created are becoming copy cats of one another, since few new breakthroughs have been made in the development of psychiatric drugs. The New York Times is even calling this a "dry pipeline" for the psychiatric drug industry.

THE FORCED DRUGGING OF AMERICA'S YOUTH

There is also the large problem in America of drugging our children. The forced drugging of children is becoming a booming industry. According to the Huffington Post, 2.5 million American children are having their ADHD symptoms treated with Ritalin, which is a 1600% increase from the 1970's. The other alarming fact to consider here is that the drug Ritalin has a lot of similarities to cocaine in terms of chemical structure and function. In fact, children who are taken off of Ritalin in adulthood are more likely to use and abuse cocaine. Since a child's brain is still growing and developing, taking Ritalin during childhood has the capacity to cause permanent changes in a person's brain structure. According to the University of Utah Genetics Center, some of the children who take Ritalin may be more likely to develop depression as adults. Their brains may become more desensitized to natural rewards like food, romance and social interaction, which increase their chances of developing depression.

Despite these alarming facts, America is still addicted to medicating its youth. In fact, 90% of the world's Ritalin is used in the United States (ADD Treatment Center).

MEDICATION AND MURDER

Another shocking reality is the fact that a large number of the mass shootings in the last 20 years were committed by people who had been on at least one psychiatric drug in their lifetime (Natural News). According to CCHR, at least 34 school shootings/or school related acts of violence have been committed by people withdrawing from psychiatric drugs. So it is possible that growing number of mass shootings could be a possible outgrowth of the children who were drugged in the 90's who have now reached adulthood.

PRISON NATION

Despite the fact that America has a large number of people who are addicted to legal drugs, millions of Americans are having their lives ruined by the prison system. People who have been caught using illegal drugs are filling up our nation's prisons. It's interesting that we consider alcohol addiction a disease that needs treatment, but illegal drug use is apparently a crime that merits incarceration and harsh punishment. The reality is that some of these people using these drugs need treatment and help - not incarceration. And some of the illegal drugs are actually less harmful than the legal ones being pushed by the pharmaceutical companies (i.e.marijuanna). Currently America, 'the land of the free,' has the world's largest prison population. So there is something deeply wrong going on here.

THE CORRUPTION OF THE AMERICAN LEFT

Much of the rot in American political and social life is not so much a product of the conservative right, but a product of the liberal left selling out on the values that it claims to promote. Minimum wage has not budged since the 1960s. Unlike almost every other developed world power, America still doesn't have single payer health insurance. America has no sick leave or maternity leave. And of course worst of all, little has been done to stop the biological genocide of the natural world we have seen unfold in the last 60 years.

Instead, the political left has actively cheered on many of the things they claim to be against. Obama has not decreased Bush's 'War on Terror,' but rather has increased it, bombing seven different countries since he took office. At one point the defense budget was greater under his watch than it was during the Cold War.

So much of the actions carried out by leaders such as Hillary Clinton are a sort of smiley faced terror. Leaders like Clinton cheer on drone bombings while waxing on about human rights and democracy. These leaders parade the counter cultural values of the 1960s while committing violent atrocities and selling out their supporters. So this is a sort of sickness and perversion that is just another outgrowth of the inner spiritual sickness of American life.

[Chris Hedges has a lot of great articles about this subject]

WESTERN LIBERALS BUILD THE FOUNDATIONS FOR TOTALITARIANISM

The system of American rule is effective and clever, because it is a system of deceit. Our leaders tell you that you are "free," and that if you don't like how things are going, you have the power to vote and change the system. So when things do go wrong, people are more likely to blame themselves for picking bad leaders - rather than blaming the actual leaders themselves.

Now, there are a lot of good things about America's freedoms, including the freedom of speech. One of the best ways to combat evil ideas is to have the freedom to discuss them openly. The United States defeated the Soviet Union in the Cold War because we had the liberty to debate their ideology, while they did not have the freedom to debate ours.

Yet the idea that totalitarian rule could never happen here because of 'democracy' is rubbish. Every democratic system in history eventually failed and was replaced by totalitarian rule, so America is not immune.

If anything, there are greater mechanisms for authoritarian control today than have ever existed before. Hitler and Stalin for example never had the power to wiretap every person in the country or monitor them through a webcam on a laptop computer. Technology has no morality. The internet has the power to spread free speech - but it also has the power to clamp down on free speech. Already in nations like China and Saudi Arabia, their governments are working tirelessly to censor the internet.

So in many ways, America is already a system of inverted totalitarianism. Especially considering the world that was created after 9/11 in terms of the wiretapping of American citizens, drone wars that have no international boundaries, the open discussion and legitimization of torture by today's leaders, the ability to imprison people without trial (in terms of guantanamo bay), etc.

It is our hope that America can solve its problems via the process of peaceful democracy, but much of what is happening today is paving the road towards a totalitarian future.

IMPERIALISM OF THE "NICE MASS MURDERERS"

Another theme we need to further evolve is the concept of the smiley face mass murderers, the nice mass murderers. The difference between the robber barons, so to speak, of the 19th century, the plutocrats of that era, and today is one word: public relations. The robber barons of the 19th century were really a bunch of nice guys compared to modern plutocrats. The modern plutocrats have gutted American industry, and made an unholy alliance with another mass murderer state, China, to ship jobs and industries over there and destroy the industrial heart of America. This is an extremely malevolent thing to do, but that's what they've done, behind their smiley face. The whole structure of the emergence of a totalitarian state here in America is also done behind a smiley face. The mass murder of Third World civilians is done behind a smiley face.

So, all this is a product of marketing and the power that this has unleashed is hidden behind a media smiley face campaign. If you look at monopoly power of the modern technology corporations, John D. Rockefeller must be laughing in his grave. Rockefeller controlled35% of the oil industry, while today's technology titans control 90% plus of their markets. But we're told, "don't worry, they're nice guys, they wear jeans to work and some of them even wear hoodies, they listen to rock music, and some of them even have long hair." So, we can trust them. We can trust them with complete control of key sections of the economy. This is absurd. This is ridiculous.

Let's look at this culturally. Jimmy page supported Margaret Thatcher. Eric Clapton supported the racist Enoch Powell. So you see, that has evolved from illusions rooted in the 1960's counter cultural revolution. There is this idea that just because someone looks and talks a certain way culturally, that we can trust them. This is absurd. But there's a reason why this is marketed, because it's a ruthless quest for power behind the smiley face. So, the smiley face serves a tremendously important purpose of keeping people calm, as a ruthless elite seizes power behind the scenes over the lives of ordinary people.

AN ECONOMY IN THE INITIAL STAGES OF COLLAPSE

A RULING CLASS IN ITS DEATH THROES

For the sake of critical thinking, let's assume that what our world leaders say is true. That the economy is the ulitmate measure of success on our planet. That things like the New York Stock exchange and the GDP are the ultimate measure of a happy society. So let's evaluate today's leaders by their own rubric and take a look at the so called economic "recovery" since 2009.

Now in fairness to Obama, he does deserve credit for his handling of a near catastrophe created by the previous policies and the Bush Administration. In 2009, Obama did prevent a wholesale economic collapse. So the Obama administration deserves some serious credit for that.

However, what did not happen after 2009 was a plan to deal with the structural problems that lead to a crisis in the first place. Lets do a medical analogy. The year 2008 was the equivalent of a morbidly obese man who got no exercise, who smoked one pack of cigarettes a day and had a massive coronary heart attack. The Obama administration prevented this hypothetical guy from dying, so to speak. But what did not happen was a plan to get this man to lose weight, to stop smoking and recover in the long term. In other words, a long term plan for the economy was not put into place.

What did happen was $4 trillion of funny money from the Federal Reserve was printed out of nowhere and 40% of that has now gone into buying mortgages, which is just mind-boggling, and is about $5 trillion of budget deficits. In other words, we borrowed our way out of the hole. That's not a long-term plan. What is needed is a plan to deal with the structural deficits in the budget - and in many ways far more important - the structural deficits in trade policy. But that hasn't been put into place.

So the reality is that the economic crisis has been delayed, not averted. If our leaders want to prevent a future crisis, they need to start making serious structural changes to the economy. They need to start putting long term policies into place. Policies that deal with our debts against both the environment and the economy. Because the reality is that you cannot have a healthy economy without a healthy environment. And infinite debt is not a realistic plan.

Yet our current leaders do not seem to have what it takes to force these changes into place. So this is very likely going to lead to a Soviet Union style collapse of the current economic system. Probably even worse considering the environmental situation.

TWILIGHT OF IDOLS: A WORLD ORDER ON THE VERGE OF COLLAPSE

A GLOBAL CULT OF GREED FACES ITS DOWNFALL

So what we're seeing in today's world is an artificial system that is in the painful process of breaking down. The world built after World War II is coming apart at the seams. As poverty, environmental degradation and political instability increase around the globe, it's becoming more and more difficult to say that American system is the one system for the world and all its people.

At the heart of the situation is a system that doesn't work. It's a system that doesn't work because if it did work, it wouldn't need to keep plugging the holes with astronomical levels of debt. Before World War I, the Europeans had a concept called "the day" or in German "der tag." Now "der tag" is coming financially and environmentally for today's world order.

We will examine more symptoms of the global collapse below.

GO BACK TO TABLE OF CONTENTS

GROWING RELIGIOUS INSTABILITY AROUND THE GLOBE

Globalization is the process through which all of the world's people become further connected via the media and the economy.

Yet the reality of globalization is that many peoples' lives are getting disoriented and destroyed. We're not saying that every aspect of globalization is bad. Being able to communicate with people on all corners of the globe has very positive aspects. But plugging all the world's people into American style ideas of economics, agriculture and media as part of some global 'manifest destiny' has been very disruptive.

Traditionally, many people in the third world have been able to deal with oppression by eeking out a living off the land, or turning to the local community for help. Yet now, even this isn't an option. In the third world there has been a mass migration of people into city slums, and the number of slums around the world is growing at a rapid pace.

Also, it isn't just globalization that is tearing people's lives apart. What is happening in our time is a collapse of the world built by the western imperialists after World War I and World War II. There is a rapid restructuring of ideology and identity going on in our world as a counter reaction to this. Amidst all the chaos, many struggling people see religion as an anchor. As their traditional lives get destroyed, religion gives them a built in structure and identity. But the problem is that the extremism of the current economic situation is unleashing a backlash. And this backlash is coming in the form of religious extremism.

Now, there has long been an assumption that as society gets more scientifically advanced and modern, that people will automatically become less religious. Yet the reality is that religious extremism is growing, not shrinking. And this isn't just the growth of fanatical Islam, this is a growth in extremism and violence in all religious corners: Christianity, Hinduism and Budhhism included.

In the Middle East and Africa you have the growth of Islamic Extremism, in South America and Africa there is the growth of Pentecostal Christianity, in some countries like Burma there is a rise of Buddhist violence against Muslims, and in India with the surge of nationalism and the rise of figures like Narendra Modi, you see a boom in Hindu extremism. And of course, in America, there is a rise in Evangelical and other forms of right wing Christianity.

Now there are many nuances and complications of this issue that we obviously can't cover entirely, but we will make an attempt to discuss the basic, underlying issues.

At the end of the day, people need hope. People need a reason to live. Is the global plutocracy giving that to people? The predominant message of today's world order is 'if you work hard, you too can enjoy the American Dream." Via the world of entertainment, people are provided a fantasy vision of western life that isn't even realistic. When people watch these things, it fuels feelings of despair. They think to themselves, "my life isn't like that, I don't have a big house, I don't have a fantastic sex life with super models." And thus people begin to feel spurned. They begin to feel cheated. And the dream of 'working hard, making money, and getting ahead' ultimately becomes hollow.

So religious extremism has a message that is much more attractive to today's alienated and desperate people. It not only gives people of something to live for, but it also gives people something to die for. And at the end of the day, people don't just want to 'pursue happiness,' they want lives of meaning. And they also want something better to look forward to in the 'hereafter.'

A notorious example of this in our world today is the growth of the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. The Islamic State is no doubt a group of human scum. They are rapists, murderers, slavers, sadists and they have destroyed cultural artifacts of priceless value. And yet, their ideology of hate and extremism is attractive to the downtrodden. It is attractive because it offers an 'out' from a meaningless system of globalization and greed.

Yet the Islamic State itself is a nutjob operation that logically would have been wiped out if the U.S. wasn't constantly trying to depose of the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad. It has very little support among mainstream muslims and arabs in the middle east.

The truth is that as the global situation unravels, much more powerful and influential religious leaders will emerge. These leaders will offer people a message of hope and proclaim themselves agents of God. This won't just be an Islamic message. In America this could come in the form of Christian extremism. In India, someone could claim to be an Avatar of a Hindu deity. In a Buddhist country this person could claim to be a 'Bodhisattva,' and so on and so forth.

But the point is that as the current situation continues to unravel, people will increasingly look to religious extremes for salvation.

THE REBIRTH OF FASCISM IN TODAY'S WORLD

As we have said above. Ideas of religious extremism are growing around the globe because today's global plutocratic world order is failing on multiple levels.Yet it isn't just religious extremism that is growing, but ideas of fascism. And in the future, we believe that these two things could even be connected.

Now the great irony of our time is that it is the western democracies that are laying the foundations for authoritarian regimes. While there is a lot of outward talk about democracy in today's world order, there is an overall global mega trend towards fascism. It's not called 'fascism' because fascism got a rather bad name from The Holocaust and World War II in its defeat, and of course history is written by the victors.

Now what we see in today's world is a growing struggle among the nations of the world. Russia is not about to be ordered about by America, and neither is China.

So American imperialism is in a state of crisis. America's basically going bankrupt internally trying to pay for all this imperialism, at the same time the imperialism is being rejected as a failed system abroad, while at the same time American imperialism is creating huge tensions with major super powers that have the power to fight back.

Now a long-term question is the relationship between America and Europe, and the fact that you have a whore, an American stooge, Angela Merkel in Europe at the moment.

Where that leads, that's unclear, but it's very unlikely that Europe will want to stick with America in the long-term, particularly when the whole hyper debt bubble explodes. So what we have - what will not come back is racial and anti-Jewish views of Hitler, which were not exactly part of Mussolini's fascism to begin with.

But some kind of fascism is coming. In fact, it's already here. It's just not called fascism and as in the failure of democracy and ancient Greece and Rome, you are going to have a movement towards totalitarianism in terms of dealing with a crisis that is actually worse than the mess created by democracy in Greece and Rome. This crisis is the coming environmental and global debt crisis.

AMERICA'S TOTALITARIAN REVOLUTION

Now in America today under Bush and also under Obama you have a breathtaking totalitarian revolution. Under Obama it is revealed that the NSA is able to spot anybody anywhere at the click of a mouse and this is beyond the wildest totalitarian dreams of Hitler and Himmler. Under Bush you've had the open endorsement of torture and the recent debate about the new torture report is quite revealing for the fact that key sections of the American foreign policy leadership are openly celebrating torture. This really crosses over a line and it's one more portent of the move towards totalitarianism in the United States.

Obama has passed the national Defense authorization act and has claimed that he has the right to kill anybody anywhere on the planet, that he is judged jury and executioner for the entire planet. There is a word for this. This is megalomania. This isn't some nice person. Daniel Ellsberg of the Pentagon papers very correctly observes that Obama and his totalitarian revolution is not only trying to supersede the Bill of Rights, it is trying to supersede the Magna Carta and it is true. Now, so far there hasn't been a huge crisis. What's going to happen if there is a huge crisis? What's going to happen when there is a biological terror attack, an epidemic, an economic collapse?

Well you can use your creativity if we have this much totalitarianism now, you can just figure where all that goes. Now in future lectures we're going to define fascism a bit more clearly, but this is the point of this lecture to clarify things in the near term. End of lecture.

Connection of Neo Conservatives in America and Neo Fascism in Japan

This article shows that in many ways modern imperialist "neo-conservatives" in America can be seen
as really modern neo-fascists.   Here one of the leading neo-conservative columnists calls for
arming Japan with nuclear weapons (a quite popular idea among American imperialists).

 Arming Japan with Nuclear Weapons
Columnist Charles Krauthammer, an advocate for the use of torture against terror suspects, writes that the new right-wing government of Japan,
which embraces Japan's militaristic past, should be armed with nuclear weapons in response to the testing of a small nuclear device by North Korea.
This despite the fact that Japan is already protected by treaty under the U.S. nuclear weapons umbrella.  (Washington Post, 10-20-06)

KARMA AND CONSEQUENCES

THE VIOLENT FUTURE COMING

skulls

So when you look at America, you look at a pathological society out of touch with reality. Now there's an old saying that "what goes around comes around." You can go back to the ancient Indian concept - ancient Sanskrit concepts of Dharma and Karma. Dharma is God's law, Karma is whether you go forward or backwards.

Now, as the pathological American system takes over much of the known globe and destoys the biological foundations of life, there are going to be consequences. Not just for those in charge, but for everyone.

There is going to be a violent sorting out of the haves and the have-nots. As the environmental hyper bubble explodes, there is going to be a drastic reduction in the number of people around. So rather than thinking about the nonsense of everybody's life being worthwhile and so on, you're going to be talking about the brutal sorting out of the haves and the have-nots, and this has been quite normal in history. We would certainly agree that if you could freeze today's world, we are in many ways living in the greatest era history. The problem is that we are living on borrowed wealth and borrowed time. Today's world is an artificial construct. Its history being a wheel, and we have to go back down the other side, because this is not a stable system going forward.

The world as we see it is a giant debt balloon, an environmental debt balloon, and increasingly, an economic debt balloon. The whole argument for destroying the environment was, "Well, they're going to build this wonderful economic utopia." And that really isn't working either. We've heard the good news: the poverty rates have come down. Why have poverty rates come down? Well, the key part of that is from China, a genocidal dictatorship that has murdered 80 million of its own citizens. Perhaps they are not the most reliable people to rely on for statistics. The actual number of people in poverty is going up; the actual number of people in the slums worldwide is going up, not down.

Now what's coming is death on an enormous scale. What is not widely discussed is how that structure of death is going to be implemented. Now when you cut through the bull, when you cut through the lies, when you cut through the false advertising of today's plutocratic elite - particularly in America - here is the way they plan to have this work. As we have established, these people are very confused and they are very sick, so the level of rational thinking in these people is not very high. However at the end of the day, the way they look at this situation is that the poor are going to be on the receiving end of disaster should things go wrong, and the rich will survive. This is just one more part of their enormous state of delusion, because America for example, is highly vulnerable to the consequences of global warming, particularly in the Southwest, which is a completely artificial world, and changes in the weather can happen very quickly.

There's also the X factor. The issue of an EMP natural or technological attack, and the wholesale level of bad karma that America has generated by its criminal behavior around the world. So this is all not shaping up to be a very good situation.

But overall, the assumption that the poor are the only ones who will suffer in the violence and collapse to come is symptomatic of plutocratic insanity. Yes, there will be a violent sorting out of who lives and who dies, but as the global environmental and financial system implodes, it won't just be the poor on the receiving end of this collapse. The structure of our economic and environmental systems are all interconnected. So overall, there is going to be a mass violence coming that will effect people on all rungs of the economic ladder.

FUTURE DISASTERS LOOMING ON THE HORIZON

storm

Above we have already described a global social and political structure that is in the preliminary stages of breaking down. It is breaking down politically, culturally and economically. The rise of religious extremism is only a portent of further social collapse to come.

Yet we have not seen the worst of the violent future coming. We will outline three major disasters below that have a real chance of happening, and a very real chance of killing millions, if not billions.

Such disasters will accelerate the need for a despotic authority figure who will bring humanity together in the fall out of the chaos.

These three horsemen of the apocalypse are nuclear war, biological terrorism and an EMP attack.

NUCLEAR WAR

bomb

There are indeed very scary outcomes of a possible social collapse. Our world today is unlike any other time in history. This is because there exist weapons today that are capable of ending human civilization as we know it. Under a functioning political system, the reality of nuclear war can be kept at bay. But what happens when today's political world order begins to fragment? One such possibility is the reality of nuclear war, a reality that is closer than we think. Specifically, we're talking about a nuclear war between America and Russia. Russia is only one country in the world with the power to wipe the United States off the face of the map in 45 minutes. Russia currently has the largest arsenal of nuclear warheads in the world, with 8,000 weapons in their arsenal (the U.S has up to 7,315).

Now many people think that the possibility of nuclear war was averted with the end of the Cold War. Yet relations between Russia and America today are at their worst point in twenty years. The specter of a nuclear war between these two global super powers is actually greater today than it was during the Cold War. At least during the Cold War there were security mechanisms put into place in an effort to prevent such a disaster, and the possibility of said disaster was discussed quite openly, unlike today.

How bad are things between America and Russia? The current President of the United States, Barack Obama, recently dismissed Russia as a merely "regional power acting out of weakness." With the world's largest number of nuclear weapons, do they really look like just "a regional power?" We think not.  Such remarks represent a very disturbing disconnect with reality.

An even more deranged statement was made by Hillary Clinton, the presumed 2016 Democratic nominee, who actually compared Putin to Hitler.

These dangerous ideas are part of a mind set being promoted by neo-conservative ideologues calling for a world imperial dominion by America.  They are being supported by "Democratic"  foreign policy leaders like Clinton, Susan Rice, Samantha Power, and Robert Kagan.  Former Cheney aide, Victoria Nuland, the wife of Robert Kagan, is promoting a new Cold War from her position in Obama's State Department in charge of all European affairs.

Can the United States afford to continue with its current aggressive stance towards Russia over the conflict in Ukraine? Do we really want to destroy our hard earned peace with Russia, especially at a time when America is digging its way out of a financial crisis and is already involved in several wars around the globe? In asking ourselves if we are really ready for World War III, we must understand that there will very likely be the possibility of nuclear war. Now this may sound very extreme. We would like to think that all reasonable nations would do everything in their power to avoid such a nightmare.

However, we must consider the reality that both Russia and the United States have the largest collection of nuclear warheads on the planet. In such a conflict, the incentive to nuke the enemy first, before they nuke you, is very real. So how long could the United States and Russia really engage in hostilities with one another before someone finally pushes the button? After all, the United States did nuke two Japanese cities in the name of ending World War II. It is naive to pretend that such a thing is impossible. It is also arrogance to believe that such an atrocity could not find its way to American soil when push comes to shove.

So should politicians in Washington be cheering on a conflict with Russia? America is powerful, but we are not invincible.

STATUS OF WORLD NUCLEAR FORCES

NATION NUMBER OF WEAPONS IN NUCLEAR ARSENAL
Russia 8000
United States 7315
France 300
China 250
United Kingdom 225
Pakistan 100-120
India 90-110
Israel 80
North Korea 10 or less

(Source: Federation of American Scientists)

Pakistan, India and Israel currently do not have nukes that are capable of attacking the United States; however, India is currently working on one that feasibly would be able to do such a thing.

So the fact that America is threatening a nuclear super power is just another indication of a system in decline, and the fact that there are now less safety mechanisms in place than there were duringthe Cold War is truly troubling indeed.

BIOLOGICAL TERRORISM

gas mask

An event that is even more unpredictable (but possibly more likely) is biological warfare. It's much easier to engineer a deadly disease under the radar than it is to build a nuclear warhead. As the field of biotechnology advances, the possibility of 'backyard bio-terrorists' becomes more of a reality.

What is important to contemplate is the changes that will happen in society as a result of such an attack. Think about the direction that the United States government went in after 9/11. We've seen the passage of the Patriot Act, the National Defense Authorization Act, the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security, the wiretapping of millions via the NSA, and now America is engaged in a so called 'war on terror' that has no time table or international boundaries.

Now 9/11 was definitely a tragic event in America's history. But keep in mind that the collateral damage was 3,000 people and two and a half office buildings.

What will the government do after a biological attack that kills hundred of thousands, if not millions? All it would take is for one of America's many enemies to engineer a lethal virus and put this virus in the water supply of a highly populated city, like New York or Los Angeles.

People have already allowed the government to curtail fundamental liberties for fear of 'terrorism' - a threat which kills less Americans than furniture (The Washington Post). Today's hysteria over terrorism is ridiculous. At one point in Obama's administration, he was spending more on defense than Reagan was during the Cold War.

So the current level of hysteria in America right now is only a mirror of future totalitarianism to come. In the event of bioterrorism against millions, civil liberties will not only be crushed, but that people will demand the government to crush these liberties in the name of 'safety' and 'fighting terrorism.'

AN EMP ATTACK

emp

Nuclear and biological warfare are both manmade disasters.

But an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) attack can be both a natural or a man made disaster. An EMP blast can occur either from an attack from the sun, or the reconfiguration of a nuclear device.

SOLAR FLARES: A WEAPON OF NATURE

Though there is no doubt that earth has been experiencing sporadic solar flares since the beginning of time, the first-known and largest recorded instance occurred in 1859. A massive burst of solar wind and magnetic energy was released into space, and sent hurling directly toward earth. Starting on August 28, 1859, the solar storm continued to impact earth until September 3rd of the same year. During this solar flare, telecommunications were dramatically impacted. Telegraph systems in Europe and North America were affected, sometimes even to the extent of literally shocking the telegraph operators.

Yet this happened at a time when society had relatively little technology to lose. So the problem is that there is no historical presidence for what an EMP attack from the sun could unleash upon an electronic society like what we have today. Which makes us even more unprepared for what is to come. Think about how much of our society depends upon the electric grid? Hospitals, banks, jails, transportation, sanitation, etc. So a solar attack the likes of 1859 would literally shut down everything. Society would have a lot to lose in such an event.

In April of 2013, NASA documented a large solar flare. This is a reminder to us all that the threat is still very real.

Also, not to mention that in 2012, a solar storm just barely missed the Earth: The solar storm of 2012 that almost sent us back to a post-apocalyptic Stone Age (Extreme Tech, 7-24-14)

NON-NUCLEAR ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE AS A MAN MADE WEAPON

In 2012 an event occurred under the control of the military defense contractor Boeing that may unleash a revolution in warfare of absolutely staggering dimensions. The Boeing Corporation developed a quite effective, nonnuclear EMP.

The EMP nonnuclear weapon is a device that can completely turn the tables on a technologically empowered empire. Therefore, it is completely absurd and quite ironic that America is the first nation to develop such a weapon. It is said that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Likewise, by creating a weapon that damages electronics, America is undercutting its own military power around the globe. When EMPs are introduced on the world stage as a weapon of modern warfare, other countries WILL eventually get their hands on such a device. This is what happened with nuclear weapons, chemical warfare and cyber warfare. This too will happen in the realm of EMP weaponry. Such a device will enable third world nations to actually have a fighting advantage over the United States, because they are not as dependent on the electronic grid for their survival.

Even though this "E-bomb" is not a nuclear device, it is definitely deadly in a number of ways. It is designed to disable electronics systems on a widespread scale - which would, in fact, be lethal to most nations. It is a composition of microwaves that are directed to wipe out electronics at a specific location. Such an attack in the wrong hands would wreak havoc, and would take those effected back into the 19th century - an era that most people would not be able to survive in without necessary preparation and skill development. The Boeing company has mastered the creation of these non-nuclear weapons, claiming that their invention "marks a new era in modern-day warfare."

A DEVASTATNG COST: DESTROYING THE ECONOMY AND LIVES

An EMP attack, whether natural or man made, is not the kind of disaster that would be remedied after a few weeks. This is something that could shut down entire sectors of the U.S. economy for years. The following would be destroyed: Electronic banking systems, security devices, surgical machinery, life support systems, the Wall Street Stock Exchange and the whole gamut of our technology dependent world. Not to mention that millions of lives could be lost from the economic and electronic fall out.

The clean up of Hurricane Katrina costed $125 billion. A low level hurricane (category 3) in New York wrecked $80 billion in damages. Yet these disasters are peanuts in comparison to what the fall out of an EMP attack would cost - which would be trillions of dollars in damages. Now we already have a society that is so screwed up internally and so bitterly divided that it can't even figure out how to pay its own bills and is borrowing a third of its own budget. Would this society really be able to survive after adding trillions of dollars of financial pressure to the cost? We think not. This would lead to massive tax increases, huge budget cuts, and political and economic turmoil. This could bring down the entire structure of the United States.

As an article in Forbes eloquently stated, an EMP attack would make 9/11 look trivial.

AFTER THE EMP COMES THE NUCLEAR MELTDOWN

If the prospect mentioned above is not horrifying enough, there is an even worse reality to consider. What happens to the world's 450 nuclear reactors?

After the electronic grid is shut down by an EMP blast, the nuclear plant operators will try to safely shut down the nuclear reactors with whatever backup power that they have available to them. Following that, they will need to keep the nuclear rods cool - even when they are not running in the reactor process. The problem though is that the radioactivity cannot be shut down with the flip of a switch. The cool down process normally takes months if not years to complete, yet such a process would not be available in the event of an EMP blast like the one that happened in 1859.

So could there be more than 450 Chernobyls? It's very possible.

THE BIOTECH WARRIORS OF THE FUTURE

super soldier

THE BRUTAL STRUGGLE OF THE HAVE'S AND HAVE NOTS

Due to the disasters detailed above, there is going to be a ruthless sorting out of the "haves" and "have-nots." That's already going on right now in terms of non-human life, where a staggering half of the planet's wildlife has been exterminated since the 1970s. The wholesale destruction of nonhuman life is a truly breathtaking holocaust of truly horrendous dimensions. Scientists are calling today's era a sixth major mass extinction. Indeed we are living in the middle of the greatest wave of mass murder of other species of life since the Permian extinction 250 million years ago.

Now this has consequences for the human situation, because human beings depend upon other life forms to live. Environmental issues are going to start becoming matters of civil unrest and international war. Military analysis institutions, such as the American CIA, are already studying the prospect of wars over water. Which, as the climate change gets worse, and as aquifers are pumped out, and ill-conceived dams are built, is going to become an increasingly volatile situation.

Even the most elemental analysis of the future watch data shows the probability - and today it's really the inevitability - of a very large death toll. We're talking about death tolls similar to that of the 30 years war, or the Mongol invasion of China, or the Black Death (which was about 30 percent of the population or more).

Yet the people who die are not going to depart from this world voluntarily or peacefully. There will be a ruthless sorting out of who lives and who dies, much like the choice of who gets to board the lifeboat of a sinking ship when there isn't enough room for everybody.

Will this be done purely on the basis of money? That is doubtful. In the struggle for power, in the chaos that emerges, there will be a need for biological super soldiers. The manipulation of human genes will be necessary to create warriors who can survive in the harsh conditions to come, as well as in devising a way to enforce order amidst chaos.

The manipulation of the human genome is the next big technological wave of the future. China is already conducting research on this matter right now. Yet in many ways, such research is still considered controversial.

AMERICAN LEADERS WILL GO FORWARD WITH CONTROVERSIAL GENETIC RESEARCH

AMIDST CLAIMS OF "NOT WANTING TO DO IT"

Western political leaders are going to do what they've sworn they would never do, they will eventually use biotechnology to change the human genetic code, and to manipulate the human genome for the production of super soldiers. In the near term this is going to be, shall we say, a messy process. They're going to produce an awful number of freaks, monsters and God knows what. So this isn't going to be pretty, like a good part of world history. But this will lead to a possible mass production of genetic super soldiers, and a kind of incarnation of Aldus Huxley's Brave New World, but on a much more ruthless and much more sophisticated scale. There will also be the cloning of people, particularly, major figures in history.

Is there a "moral line" that Western leaders won't cross in terms of genetic experimentation on human beings? That's what they would like people to believe, that there are certain things that they would just "never do" because of some idea of human rights.

Yet we are talking about the same American leaders who murdered 1 million people in Iraq. We're talking about wonderful people such as Madeleine Albright, a product of the liberal establishment, who said that killing 500,000 Iraqi children was "worth it." Look back at the history of America. Did they hesitate to use the atom bomb in World War II or chemical warfare in Vietnam? No. And they won't hesitate to jump into the new arena of biotechnology warfare either. What will happen instead is that a major disaster will be used as grounds for the development and deployment of biotechnological weapons. The people in charge will claim, "We don't want it, but we have to do it." And then we will see human beings developed into the weaponry of the future.

We've already seen America betray much of what it claims to believe in after 9/11. Political leaders have justified the use of torture, imprisonment without trial, the phone tapping of millions, and the power of the president to assassinate people around the globe in a drone war that knows no international limits or boundaries.

So the beginning of the biotechnological arms race will come a lot sooner to the West than many people believe. Think about it. What if you can produce a person that's two or three times smarter than the average person, or two to three times stronger? Do you think the government won't do it? That's rubbish.

THE BIOTECH REVOLUTION IN CHINA

The development of super humans is no longer science fiction. It is a major industry in China.

China has seen the double digit growth of its biotechnology sector in recent times, and has one of the fastest growing biotechnology sectors in the world. The key national biotech body in the country is the China National Center for Biotechnology Development. Today in China, the field of biotechnology is a billion dollar industry.

China is also now home to the world's largest genetic research center - BGI Shenzhen. BGI-Shenzhen currently employs more than 4,000 researchers. It has far more "next-generation" DNA sequencers than anywhere else in the world, and is sequencing more than 50,000 genomes per year.

In China, scientists are busy at work trying to figure out which genes control intelligence, and how parents can rig the genetic lottery.

At BGI Shenzhen, scientists have collected DNA samples from 2,000 of the world’s smartest people and are sequencing their entire genomes in an attempt to identify the alleles which determine human intelligence (an allele is a variant of a gene).

Yet such technology would not only be utilized to select genes oriented towards intelligence, it could also be mobilized to select other traits, like strength, speed, health, hair color, eye color and even impulse control. It is also said that it may be possible to isolate genetic factors of personality, such as how conservative, liberal, religious or non-religious a person may turn out.

THE CREATION OF SUPER SOLDIERS

GENETIC MANIPULATION AS A WEAPON OF WARFARE

So developments in genetic research will be especially valuable in the creation of super soldiers. If this technology is successful, the soldiers of tomorrow could be capable of super human feats. We're talking about mutant combatants with regenerating limbs, faster reaction times, improved unit cohesion, a lowered need for sleep, and resistance to chemical, nuclear and biological warfare.

Once again, such ideas sound like science fiction. Yet experiments done on mice have revealed how human muscle tissue can be genetically enhanced. Such an application in human beings would be a formidable weapon for any military.

Already the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, The Pentagon, have begun research into human transgenics. As of now, DARPA (the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency) has a functioning exoskeleton that enables soldiers to run faster and handle heavy weights (biotech articles).

So what are other countries doing about their own super soldier programs? It is hard to tell because much of this information is classified. “Other countries are also interested in these areas but are not so open as the U.S. about what they are doing, so it is difficult to know exactly what is going on in many cases,” notes Rod Flower, a professor at the William Harvey Research Institute in the U.K. and the chair of the Royal Society’s biomods study.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS

Not only will there be experimentation on creating super humans, but there will also be a further development of ways to attack the human immune system and genome. The ability to alter genes can be both an asset and a threat. On the upside, genetic modification could establish peace by making populations live longer, need less food, and genuinely enhance the quality of life. Yet a researcher named Andrew Herr points out the downside. He states that breaking down genes is easier than fixing them.

His argument is the following:

"In one dire scenario, an army might attack its enemies by changing their physiology to make them dumber, slower and more afraid. In The Atlantic recently, two researchers even discussed the possibility of governments or terror groups genetically assassinating enemy leaders by tailoring cancers specifically to the target’s DNA. The authors pointed out that the U.S. State Department already surreptitiously collects DNA samples from foreign dignitaries (Wired)."

The nation with the ability to wield such technology will truly have a competitive edge on the world stage.

THINKING CREATIVELY ABOUT SUPER SOLDIERS IN THE VIOLENT WORLD TO COME

This is a matter that we need to think creatively about, because there's going to be very tough decisions made in the future about who lives and who dies. When the environmental underpinnings of this whole nightmare collapses, there's going to be a lot more frank talk about who's going to be around and who isn't. For a good part of the people on this planet, the great high-tech world order, it's going to be like a video game screen flashing of a bright red "Game Over" for them. So they probably are not going to take that very kindly, and that's why there's going to be a lot of violence. And that will further fuel the whole need for the biological super soldiers to restore order.

Civilizations throughout history have always taken controversial measures to protect their own people and to improve their own stock by whatever means possible. Some civilizations were a bit more controversial than others (such as the Spartans for example), but this has been a norm of human history. That's not going to change now.

So it is important to study this matter further and to think about how it will be implemented in the violent world coming.

[For these sections I have copy and pasted parts of audios that relate to the subject matter, but I still need to smooth this out more.]

THE POLITICS OF BIOLOGY: SUPER WARRIORS OF THE FUTURE

As we discussed in the previous lecture, the New World, the real world, not the fairytale world that's promised by the plutocrats that's never going to be, but the real world is going to be a ruthless sorting out of the "haves" and "have-nots." That's already going on right now in terms of non-human life where a staggering half of all nonhuman life has been exterminated since the 1970s, and the wholesale destruction of nonhuman life is a truly breathtaking holocaust of truly horrendous dimensions. Indeed we are living in the middle of the greatest wave of mass murder of other species and destruction since the Permian extinction 250 million years ago.

Now this has consequences for the human situation because as we sort out the haves and have-nots, that's gonna be a choice of who lives and who dies. Will this be done purely on the basis of money? That is doubtful. There's a second point, in the struggle for power there will be a need for biological super soldiers. So where does all this lead? Where all this leads is that the political leaders, the big hypocrites, they are going to do what they've sworn they won't do, which is to use biotechnology to change the human genetic code and to manipulate the human genetic code for the production of super soldiers.

Since you've seen America totally betray everything they claim to believe in since 911, this is going to be a lot shorter and a lot easier to do than many people think. There is already a major eugenics program in China, the full extent of which is not known. But you will have a biological arms race. Think about it. What if you can produce a person that's two or three times as smart as the average person. They're not gonna do it? Really? Rubbish, that's rubbish. In the near term this is going to be, shall we say, a messy process. They're going to produce an awful number of freaks, monsters and God knows what, and so this isn't going to be pretty, like a good part of world history, but then again, the whole future of this country isn't going to be pretty. But this will lead to a possible mass production of genetic super soldiers, and a kind of incarnation of Aldus Huxley's Brave New World, but on a much more ruthless and much more sophisticated scale. Huxley's thing was just too crude and not really all that well thought through. That won't be a problem in the future, and you will have cloning of people. You can have cloning of major figures in history.

This is all likely to be coming. So that's a very important point to understand what's coming. They are going to try to take control of the human genetic code. This is sort of a taboo subject we need to think of a way in which this can be discussed in a more politically correct, I suppose way, a more honest way, so people understand the nature of what's coming. There's the notion that "they wouldn't do something like that." Really? I mean the American leaders who murdered 1 million people in Iraq? Some wonderful person like Madeleine Albright, a product of good establishment liberalism said killing 500,000 Iraqi children was "worth it." Look back at the history of America, the mass murders committed by America in World War II with a wholesale mass murder of civilians, the mass murder of civilians in North Korea. In Vietnam you had the great establishment figure of liberalism, Mr. McGeorge Bundy, who launched a war that killed 3 million third world people in Indochina, and involved the largest wholesale use of chemical weapons against civilians since the Nazi Holocaust.

So these are not nice people and they are not going to be inhibited by any code of moral values. You can be sure of that. They've already revealed to the world the kind of people they are. So this is something we need to think creatively about because there's going to be very tough decisions made about who lives and who dies, and that goes into the issue of euthanasia and so on. So there's already a very systematic system of mass murder in place as we talk right now. It's known as get rich or die. So poverty throughout history has been a very effective weapon of mass destruction, and that of course is not new. It's just more prettied up today and more hypocritical. However, when the environmental underpinnings of this whole nightmare collapses, there's going to be a lot more frank talk about who's gonna be around and who isn't. For a good part of the people on this planet, the great high-tech world order, it's going to be like a videogame screen flashing of a bright red "Game Over" for them. So they probably are not going to take that very kindly, and that's why there's going to be a lot of violence. And that further fuels the whole need for the biological super soldiers to restore order and etc. etc.

So these are some creative thoughts that we also need to integrate into what we're talking about and in particular in trying to see what's coming. The genome and stuff like that. What are the harbingers that we see right now, particularly in China.

This is the end of this lecture.

THE AWAKENING OF THE COLLECTIVE UNCONSCIOUS

After the winter comes the spring. When you walk through the forest in the spring, you see the primordial power of nature as the leaves emerge from the trees, as the flowers bloom. Today on our planet we have a sick, evil world system, that is a culture of death. But beneath the concrete, beneath the illusions, is the power of the spring. We can feel the huge primordial power of nature. It's like the wind: you cannot see the wind, but you can feel its power. It is said that a tree without roots cannot survive the storm, and in today's world order is a tree without roots. When we look into the future, we need to think about the political future. How is all this going to change? Time remains the same. History remains the same. Today's world order is a gigantic lie. It's a gigantic lie. A gigantic debt against the future.

Nature will reemerge out of the cold of today's winter. It will become the power of the spring, as a new world is born out of the bloody ruins of the world that we see now. It is a revelation of truth. It is a destruction of lies. And you need to put this in terms of time. This so-called New World Order, capitalism, American-style democracy, the concept of Christianity as a global religion, these are all very short-term delusions, and very malevolent delusions in the billions of years of time. So, you have to look at this in terms of the enormous forces that are reasserting themselves.

In our time artists, and modern day shamans will emerge as expressions of the collective unconscious, to warn people and to guide people as the situation evolves. We are to warn people about the malevolent situation, and we are to provide guidance to how society will return to a primordial order.

A key part of the sickness of today's world is the sickness of the soul. The sickness of the spirit. Part of this is from almost 2,000 years of Christian, sexual perversions. Another part of this is from the general destruction of the planet.

The art of a society is an indication of what is going on at the collective unconscious level. The fact that modern art - colored pieces of vomit - are hailed as some great art is a testament to the sickness of the soul going on in today's world. So there needs to be an artistic revolution.

Art and music will play a key role in waking people up back to reality.

ART

Albert_Bierstadt_-_A_Storm_in_the_Rocky_Mountains

What is art? Art is a representation of truth. That is what it should be. Art has been an integral part of the human experience going back to time immemorial. In every society, their art has stood as a representation of their values - of what they find to be beautiful, heroic and true. Most of this art is connected to nature, since most ancient societies respected nature as a natural life force.

This is not a new concept. You can even see it in this picture from the Tang Dynasty in China over 1000 years ago.The Emperor of all of China is but a small figure at the bottom of the painting.
He is only a tiny part of a cosmic natural landscape.

Today art is in a state of crisis. Why is it in the state of crisis? Well .... since the emergence of Western imperialism over the world, we have seen a decline in art with the emergence of so-called "modern art."

Now art is very important in terms of a representation of the subconscious as well as the conscious mind. Today you see classical art degenerating into the fuzzy pictures of the Impressionists in France, or the idiotic scribbling of somebody like Picasso, or even the totally ludicrous nonsense of somebody like Jackson Pollack and his abstract "art." This is not art. This is a deterioration of the subconscious mind. A form of mental illness.

MODERN "ART": IS THIS ART OR MENTAL ILLNESS?

women of algiers

So modern art is a representation of the poisoned soul of the modern man, particularly the plutocrats - who are willing to pay millions for such stuff. (Picasso painting sells for $179 million)

LANDSCAPE ART

Now as we look at how art should be a representation of reality, one of the areas of art that we think is the most important is landscape painting going back to the works of Brueghel and other people back in the 16th and 17th centuries. You also need to look at the high tide of landscape painting with the Hudson River School in the United States, the Romantic School in England, and in Germany with people such as Caspar David Friedrich. This is a representation of truth. The same can be said of sculpture and other arts. There is no comparison to the brilliance of Bernini to the deformed trash that's passed off as modern art by the modern plutocrats. Again these are symptoms of internally diseased minds and there's a direct connection to the diseased minds in art and the wholesale destruction of the planet's environment. It's a process of mental deterioration and mental illness. This is why we believe it's important to have a genuine renaissance of art, because art connects people to reality.

EXAMPLES OF LANDSCAPE ART

SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY ART

Fortunately there is hope. As a very creative counterpoint to the garbage of modern art, are the works of science fiction and fantasy artists. Now unfortunately, these people are not given the credit that they deserve: credit as the greatest artists of our time. Part of this is because in an insane society, the only sanity exists outside of the mainstream. The other reason however is because of the connection with modern art to the art industry. The art world as an industry is heavily dependent upon plutocrats buying modern art and then donating it to their museums and taking huge tax deductions. So there is a connection between the plutocratic illness in society and the collapse and decline of art.

EXAMPLES OF SCI-FI AND FANTASY ART

A REBIRTH OF GENUINE ART

But getting back to a resurrection, a rebirth of genuine art, it would be useful to study classical art, to study artists like Michelangelo and Raphael. We are particularly interested in the study of the 19th century romantics. Not just the romantic landscape painting, but the romantic political work such as that of the portraits of Napoleon. We believe such art is a harbinger of things to come.

CREATING YOUR OWN ART

The good news is that it is possible via computer graphics and other modern mediums to create art in a way that is quick and affordable. One of the things that is interesting is perhaps the use of models in creative photo shoots, and the ability to turn these photos into greater works of art via mediums such as Photoshop. Some ideas for photographs are powerful women in the woods, using masks, using candles or lanterns to play with lighting, standing in front of graffiti or just capturing the natural scenery in your area. We're not going to try and micro-manage the creative process. We're sure you have many of your own ideas. But we're here to encourage artists to use their own abilities to come up with something creative and exciting.

Art is 100 years ahead of politics. With art you have the ability to connect people to what is truly important in life, and that ability is within you. You just need to find the right tools to bring it out. Check out our website below.

LIFE FATE AND DEATH: THE RESPONSIBILITY OF RELIGION TO PROTECT THE BIOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF LIFE

In most of the world's prominent religions, there is a logic and an order to life.

Actions have consequences.  Inaction also has consequences.  If a person is required by fate to act, severe consequences can follow if that person does not have the courage and the vision to do what is necessary.

There is a cosmic vision of life going out into eternity.

There is a central concept of God and justice.  We certainly are not saying all religions are the same.  They are not.  However, even in many polytheistic religions there is a concept of one supreme God.  When the Catholic Church seized control of Europe it introduced the cult of the saints to replace the worship of different gods.  It was a kind of Christian fusion of polytheism and monotheism.

The world is alive with power of the supernatural.  This is not some exotic concept.   It is a logical concept where people can be given the power to rise to the challenges they face.   It is the control of chance.

Divine justice is omnipresent.  People can face consequences during any second of their lives.

JUSTICE IN TERMS OF TIME

It is obvious that life here is all too often a total macabre joke in terms of justice.   However, in terms of the real future, it is not.

An eternal vision of life is key to understanding the real future and real concepts of justice.  This vision of reality is essential if people are to be able to have the will power and the courage to pay a bloody price here to achieve what is necessary.

Life is not an end in itself.  It certainly is not based on idiotic concepts such as the "pursuit of happiness."

A warrior who understands reality will be far more powerful.   A warrior who is willing to die for a cause is a far more powerful than one clinging to the pathetic and futile "pursuit of happiness".

As we look at today's world, we need to think in terms of time.  Today's world order in its current form has no future.

It is said that if you sow the wind you will reap the whirlwind. Today's society is a malevolent, suicidal mess.  It is the greatest destruction of life since the Permian extinction 250 million years ago. And now half the wildlife on the planet has been killed in the last 40 years.

In order to challenge this evil, warriors must have a vision of the real future.

In ancient Europe there was the glorious vision of Valhalla.   Fallen heroes would enjoy a glorious future.

This set of values is repeated throughout many difference cultures. In Islam there is the concept of the Jihad, the holy war.   Fallen heroes would enjoy a paradise filled with a lot of exciting features, including sexual pleasures.

In Hinduism and some sects of Buddhism there is a system of cosmic rebirth in accordance with laws of value.   A life of bad deeds leads to a rebirth in an inferior position.  A life of good deeds leads to a rebirth in a better position.    A life of exceptional merit supersedes the whole process of reincarnation and unites a soul with God.

There is an important difference between Christianity and Islam as opposed to Hinduism and Buddhism.  The former offers only one judgment.  The latter can see a soul reborn thousands of times.   In light of the huge death toll coming to our planet, the Asian vision might be more politically acceptable in light of the many chances that are presented to life.  However, we certainly are not going to get into a theological debate about which of these religions is better.

However, a key point is that as the current world order collapses, there is going to be a lot of interest in the whole concept of a real long term future as the "pursuit of happiness" here goes up in smoke.

DANGERS OF THE COMING RELIGIOUS REVIVALS AROUND THE WORLD

Around the world we see radical religious groups growing in power.  We see the coming dictators using religion or creating their own religions to claim the "mandate of heaven".

Throughout history religion has been a very sharp double edged sword.   It can be a huge source of evil as well as good.   We have carefully documented this in our study of Christian Totalitarianism, where an obscure sect seized power in the Roman Empire and launched the most massive campaign of religious persecution and cultural destruction in history, which rather quickly destroyed the world's number one empire.  Today, we see many powerful Christian sects calling for "Holy War" and opposing elemental scientific necessities like clean energy and responsible sex education, threatening the very survival of life on this planet.   (This does not mean all Christians are bad.   Indeed, Pope Francis has taken some very positive steps about global environmental policies.)

Unfortunately, religious criminality and lunacy are not restricted to Christianity.   The Mayans and the Aztecs had grotesque systems of ritual torture and human sacrifice, sometimes killing ten of thousands in their ceremonies.  Some experts say that the Mayans brought about their own collapse due to destructive environmental policies.

EDUCATING RELIGIOUS LEADERS ABOUT PLANETARY REALITIES

We see our role as a force in trying to set some positive priorities for the world's religions, specifically actions to stop today's suicidal destruction of life on this planet.   There are signs of hope today such as the recent declaration by Pope Francis about today's global environmental crisis.  Indeed, many leaders of religion around the world are speaking out in a very positive manner about environmental matters.

The road ahead is a dark one.   There is certain to be a lot of violence and death. The future leaders who must deal with this violence cannot rise to this challenge without presenting a dynamic vision of hope. This is why it is important to discuss religion.

We certainly do not claim to have exact answers for the role of each person or each religion.  We are not about to serve as some sort of rating service for the world's religions.

However, a common sense combination of the hard realities of science with faith can set some clear moral priorities.

It's really not that complicated.  We need to stop destroying the biological foundations of life on this planet or nature is going to destroy us.  Today's destruction of the natural world is the greatest crime and the greatest suicidal stupidity in history.  Returning our planet to nature's laws should be a moral goal for all people of faith.

THE REAL FUTURE

TIME COMES FULL CIRCLE

THE CHALLENGE OF LIFE

THE WILL TO LIVE

Within all forms of life is a primeval will to live.   Some may think our ideas about the Emperor are harsh or maybe even evil.   In reality, the greatest evil of all time is today's world "order" under the rule of American Imperialism.   What could be more evil (and stupid) than destroying the very biological foundations of life?

So drastic actions are going to be taken... no matter what happens.  The sooner drastic actions are taken, the sooner reform begin, the sooner a global healing process can take place.

The politics of death must be replaced by the politics of life.

We are going to return to nature's world.   The only issue in doubt is the death toll and the survival of the human species.

In other words, the time for reform is now.  We support change within today's system.  We hope western so-called "democracy" can work.  That would be best.  However, this system is so rotten that these hopes are not likely to happen.  Thus, the only responsible thing to do is look back into history and learn from the past.   The coming Emperor is the likely real future.  This is reality.

Yesterday, today and tomorrow, nature's laws remain the same.  They have ruled our planet and the known universe for billions of years.   They are not going to change.

We need to understand the real world of nature.   It is a world of breath taking beauty, from the majesty of a mountain sunset to the wonder of the galaxies that we can see in the night sky.   However, it is also a ferocious world.

Our ancestors lived in that world.   It was not the world seen by all too many middle class western environmentalists.  Indeed, such people would probably see real nature as a kind of Green Hell on Earth.   Not only was nature severe but people were too.  War and violence were a regular part of that world.

However, our ancestors had a raw will to live.   History now comes full circle.   The deluded effort to build the "American Dream" by destroying nature will produce its own demise and a ferocious judgment.  Indeed, the great historian Arnold Toynbee, observed that while nature chastised man with whips, technology will one day chastise man with scorpions.  Albert Einstein in his later years observed that modern society was run by technological geniuses and moral imbeciles, thus paving the way for its own destruction.

In ancient Greece, Alexander the Great paved the way for the transition of the Greek world from the narrow-minded "Polis" of Greek city states to the world empire of the "Cosmopolis".   Democracy in Athens was swept away into oblivion.  Today, we move relentlessly to our own version of a "Cosmopolis", a giant totalitarian super state.   Mindlessly clinging to malevolent, failed ideas is not a moral action.

We must have the moral courage and the vision to hail the emergence of the new severe age to come and to get ready.

We see ourselves as prophets of what is to come.   This is our role.  This is our time.

THE GRIM CHALLENGES OF TODAY

We can look at our sacrifices.  We can look at our challenges.   We can look at the dangers we face.

However, we must also look at what our ancestors faced every day in the ferocious primeval world of nature, in the freezing cold of winter in a world where even a slight change in the weather could nearly wipe out entire tribes.

They had the will to live.   We must summon that will to live and move forward.

There is also a moral vision.  All great societies have had a vision of karma, the rebirth of the spirit in accordance of the actions of the spirit.

This has not changed.   Success or failure here has to be measured in moral terms.  This is the real future.

In the bloody struggles to come many heroes will fall.   However, as in the past, they will pass over into a better world if they have proved to be valiant.   On the battlefields of northern Europe the Valkyries welcomed the dead heroes into the halls of Valhalla, a far better future than they had here.  Their honorable death in battle was a study in triumph, not a study in failure.

So it was in the philosophies of ancient India.   Samsara marked the transmigration of souls in accordance with deeds of merit.

So it is today.   Retreat is not an option.  We can only go forward but we can go forward with an inner sense of confidence and hope.
